Everything on this page is so brilliant, Lance your life drawing is fantastic, gives me something to aspire to!

Elmarko - I would love to see you do more traditionally painted stuff, out of the lot, I think the leopard looks best. I really like that.

Meekon the low poly is great, reminds me of pinky and the brain :p The lighting on the landscape is also very nice!

Shifty I love those two, I'm a big fan of the loose style :) Do you ever paint with paint?

Some more random module work, not sure how much of this I'll do but just trying to keep it really crisp. Going to look into unreal again or crytek engine.

Don't think ive ever drawn a car before, even from a reference image.

Got the pad out whilst eating dinner and had a go!

Looks good fella!

Finished my base mesh the other day, been spending a lot of time in UDK recently for a group assignment so haven't had time to do the more 'interesting' stuff.
The actual model is around 3.5k tri's, got some great feedback from the tutors regarding it which is nice.

Now in Z-Brush, spent about 40 mins flushing out some shapes. Still very much a work in progress, so a lot will change etc...

Done with this, learnt enough and need to try again.

Mate, that's so incredibly good. Loving the moody-ness of the mountain, yet the sunshine breaking through the valley. Awesome.

Thanks, oddly the paintings always seem to come out best of out my art-work, even though I've done digital & pencil drawings 99% of the time & had no training in painting at all..., I only did my first painting last year (due to being uncomfortable with the format).. most confusing lol - as it should be the worst by far.

Really like the style of that one!

Looks great. Just a bit of aliasing on the foreground rocks where I think you've over-sharpened.

What software and hardware are you using?

Thanks, I agree on the rocks. I lost motivation to even paint them :)

It's Photoshop cs4 with a Wacom Intous 3 A5 wide.

Thanks Monkee, I'm glad you like that contrast there!

Got my tablet today. Only a cheap Trust one to see if I enjoy the feel. First impressions are good.

Bit different with looking at the screen rather than where I am drawing but I should get used to it. I will post something one I have had a few tries. I havent done any serious drawing for years now so I am a little rusty.

It becomes second nature after a while. I prefer drawing with the tablet than on paper now.

Yeah I can see how it wouldn't take long to get used to it. Unfortunately I am at work until 8pm. I really want to get home and play lol

Already thought about what I want to do and done a few rough sketches on paper. Now I just need to apply it to the screen. Been playing around with photoshop for the last few days with the mouse and its going to be fun with a tablet and pen.

My daughter who is only 4 has already eyed it up too. We have been drawing with the mouse but she was nearly as excited as me when she saw the pen lol

Well I had a long play last night after getting in and really loved it. The tablet that I got although isnt the most expensive it will be more than good enough to use. If this is good I can only imagine how good the wacom ranges are.

I am not too worried about the extra shortcut buttons as long as the pen is responsive and accurate which it is.

Bit unnatural drawing on desk and seeing it on the screen but it didn't take long before I didnt even notice it. I have to hold the pen a little more upright than I am used too but again this did not take long to adapt to.

Need to start practicing again now before I do a detailed picture. My skills have taken a nose dive but that is not surprising as I havent been drawing for years.

Just like to say thanks for this thread as without it I would have never tried digital drawing and also I forgot how much i love to draw.

great! It's so much fun and you've opener the door to so many possibilities with digital art. I've never used the shortcuts on the wacom, just the pen button :)
