Bye Bye Game!

While not definitive it isn't looking good that's for sure but this is already being discussed in other sections as I mentioned this yesterday elsewhere but anyway I feel for the little people who work at Game but if they can't save themselves I am sure Gamestop will buy them out and Game will just be rebranded just like Electronics Boutique were when Game bought the and so on ande so forth.

Tis looking really bad...people I know are going to cash in points etc. etc. bit like a run on a bank...

Perhaps the cash injection will save them?

I believe the offers were good...stories already on t'internet of people buying 3 or 4 and then gonna sell them on t'ebay

I'm glad, never liked my local store, every thing was a ripoff, £49.99 on sale for a game?! I dare ask what the original was...

We seem to be discussing this across numerous threads on the same forum now.

I'd still say they've got at least a chance.
As I said in the other thread, by selling off all the pre-owned stock cheap they raise a significant amount of capital which they can then use to buy brand new games, which is what they've lost since the Publishers stopped giving them stock unless they pay up front.

If they don't have the latest games, they can't exist, it's far more important than the pre-owned market, even though they have been relying on it for a long time.
