Nice deal. And this was always the problem with AMD's pricing strategy for the 7xxx cards, a cut like this and apart from the 7970, which Nvidia have nothing to counter with, the Nvidia cards now look like a good deal.

Gibbo can you give us a heads up on Kepler - specifically are there any NDA dates you are aware of?

If I told you, I'd have to kill you. ;)

Nice to see prices coming down, but should have happened sooner.

Still not tempted, as I want pci-e 3 cards next, for when I get 3770k :)

Although, the 570's and 560ti 448's been available at those prices for a while.

Guess the 580 was that overpriced they could drop it's prices while leaving the others intact.

Good deal but for £120 less you can get a GTX 480 and easily match a GTX 580 with a OC.

The 480 is the bargain at the moment.

I have owned both and fully agree. My 580 is not noticeably faster than my old 480's @1920x1200. The 580 runs a little cooler and overclocks better, but 480 noise and heat can be easily sorted with a custom BIOS mod.

Yeah i also went from a 480 to a 580, worst decision i ever made with a GPU.

The 480 is still a top end GPU and most with OC to around 850Mhz which will then give you 580 speeds.
