Put me in another tight spot .. buy it now at £340 and hope the 680 is out of my price range or wait and hope the 680 is in my price range.
Buy what now for £340? a 580?
Just wait, man. AMD will respond and the 7950 is the card that has to drop.
Once the 7950 reaches £300 it puts the 580 in a very uncomfortable position.
Too much money mate. £10 less than a 7950. Infact, there was a 7950 kicking around at £335 a while ago.
It's not a good time to buy anything at the high end, it really isn't. Give it a month. By that time the drops would have all occurred and you can make a much better purchase with your hard earned beans.

Same price better card. But honestly, that is all set to change mate. It would be crazy to buy now.
Both think the price would drop even further with this recent price cut? I want to order a new card buy the end of this month ideally. Originally said a EVGA 580 for ~£300 would suit me .. but since i've never bought one before i'll listen to your advice and wait bit longer![]()
that's still too expensive, i'm after 3 GB at that price, in june time that is !
lets hope that this drops the price of everything, if not i'll get mine from EBAY HONG KONG !!!
