360 Achievements reset to zero

Best time for hackers to strike while people are being told not to connect to Xbox Live - enjoy the new FIFA 12 achievements :p

ps3ud0

I've downloaded my profile, gamerscore back but this afternoons acheivements havent been added. Might just go to the pub

You played knowing full well there were problems and you're complaining because you lost a hand full of achievements?

I didnt even know about this issues till coming here, I spent allot of the day playing ME3 racking up a few achivements hope they are there when i return later =/

checked on xbox.com and mine are fine so am assuming there ok on the xbox as well

(assumption the mother of all .................. ups)

People actually care about those numbers? i would be happy for mine to be 0 and stay at 0...

Good for you. Some people like to be able to measure what they've done in a game in some way. Unless you think Pac-Man at the arcade shouldn't have had a hi-score table?

Of course I do, I see it as a family heirloom I can pass down to my son when he starts gaming.

:p

Not sure if serious, But I would rather play the game and actually have my own mind "measure" what i have done, instead of a list of meaningless numbers having to jog my memory...and comparing a classic arcade games high score table to a modern list of things you have done in a game is poor, there is no similarities other than they are both lists.

It is, to a greater or lesser extent, representative of how good you are at various games. I'm very proud of some of my achievements, because they represent having done something very difficult, not unlike hitting the top of the high score table in an arcade in the 80s. That I managed to get 1000/1000 on Arkham Asylum, for example, is impressive, whether you like it or not, and fellow gamers have commented on that.

There was no dispute of how proud an achievement made someone, Surely YOU as a person would know what you have and have not done?

EVERY gamer, would remember certain moments they have had in games,i know i do but the fact that you need a counter to remember them is absurd...especially when 99% of them are only obtained because you read about them and then go do them instead of just stumbling upon them... it's not really an achievement then is it more of an objective.

I'm just saying that a list of things a dev has put together for you to get a few numbers next to your tag is not really what games are about. and some of the comments in here are basically saying the opposite :p

I love the acheivements, generally they add much needed longevity to games. Some are a real pain to get though and I think the acheivements should be for the single player game only......the MP one's need to go.

I hardly ever get to play the MP version of a game (mainly due to time) so end missing out loads.

Not got 100% in many games.....CoD4 1000/1000 :)

COD4 "Mile High Club" that was a right mare to get!!!....took me hours, deffo got my moneys worth out of that game ;)

Sure, but again, why not share that? If it was just a personal goal to get a high score on Pacman, why would you need a high score table to share those scores?

Yeah, I'll grant you that. A lot of achievements are very, very crap.

It's not the be all and end all, sure, but that doesn't mean it isn't important to an extent.
