A terrifying scenario
For now, however, it’s probably best to stay off Xbox Live.

Terrifying? People seriously need to get a grip.
You played knowing full well there were problems and you're complaining because you lost a hand full of achievements?
People actually care about those numbers? i would be happy for mine to be 0 and stay at 0...

Of course I do, I see it as a family heirloom I can pass down to my son when he starts gaming.
Good for you. Some people like to be able to measure what they've done in a game in some way. Unless you think Pac-Man at the arcade shouldn't have had a hi-score table?
Not sure if serious, But I would rather play the game and actually have my own mind "measure" what i have done, instead of a list of meaningless numbers having to jog my memory...and comparing a classic arcade games high score table to a modern list of things you have done in a game is poor, there is no similarities other than they are both lists.![]()
It is, to a greater or lesser extent, representative of how good you are at various games. I'm very proud of some of my achievements, because they represent having done something very difficult, not unlike hitting the top of the high score table in an arcade in the 80s. That I managed to get 1000/1000 on Arkham Asylum, for example, is impressive, whether you like it or not, and fellow gamers have commented on that.

There was no dispute of how proud an achievement made someone, Surely YOU as a person would know what you have and have not done?
Aeleys said:EVERY gamer, would remember certain moments they have had in games,i know i do but the fact that you need a counter to remember them is absurd...especially when 99% of them are only obtained because you read about them and then go do them instead of just stumbling upon them... it's not really an achievement then is it more of an objective.
Aeleys said:I'm just saying that a list of things a dev has put together for you to get a few numbers next to your tag is not really what games are about. and some of the comments in here are basically saying the opposite![]()
