Hi guys,
I was thinking about getting some new displays soon to setup nvidia surround (not 3d just standard 2d surround)
I was just wondering wether my current setup would be good enough to have 3 screens and play without lag on games such as bf3, skyrim, wow etc.
Ill put my specs below, im currently on a temporary motherboard until mine gets replaced because it broke on me, but ill put specs of what it would be with my proper motherboard.

Temporary setup:
motherboard- Asus m4a88t-m USB3
CPU-AMD Phenom 2 X6 1100T@ stock 3.3ghz
RAM-16gb Kingston hyperx Genesis 1600MHZ
GPU-MSI Twin Frozr 2 GTX560TI OC edition
PSU-CM Silent pro m 850 watt
2x 1tb seagate barracuda with 1 ocz agaility 3 ssd

With proper motherboard
everything the same apart from Crosshair V Formula 990FX and 1100T CPU@ 4.0ghz, also same graphics card paired up in sli.
Please any help is appreciated
Thanks
Nathan

Yes it is possible with the right motherboard.

PSU is more than enough - http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-560-ti-sli-review/14
GeForce GTX 560 Ti in 2-way SLI
A second card requires you to add another ~175 Watts. You need a 700+ Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system (800+ to a KiloWatt is recommended if you plan on any overclocking).

Is your GTX560ti a 1GB or 2GB version?

What RES screens?

Both of my 560s are the 1gb oc versions and if i was to get the screens i would 3 identical 20 inhc 1600x900 screens or 3 22 inch 1920x1080 screens through dvi.
Thnaks for the help

well im running 2 screen atm just fine 1 is 22 inch 1920x1080 and another is 20 inch 1600x900 and it runs fine just on the one card so im sure on two cards ( i know about sli doesnt add another gig of nvram blah blah blah i know i get it) but if two screen run fine on one the surely it should run ok on two 560 i mean ive seen games being played on 2 of exactly the exactly same cards on 3 24 inch monitors and it ran fine, i only posted this just to get some advice on what to get etc.

You cant be gaming over the 2 mointors.

You will want at least 2GB.

You need about 1GB on a single 1920x1200 mointor

It's not that it can't be done, it's more that you will have to make sacrifices in the graphics options.

That is SLI and surroundview with 1GB 560ti. Note he admits to having to drop the resolution......also note by not using the monitors native resolution this also hampers picture quality. I have no idea what other settings he was using.

In short yes it can be done but I'm not sure you will be impressed with the results for what it will cost you. Buying low res monitors will make life easier on your GPUs if you are intent on doing the surround view.

If you scroll through the replies on that video the uploader wasn't "sold" on the experience.....it's your call at the end of the day
