Rufus shouldn't be using non-confirmed GT's anyway though, there's no need.

Alpha counters are amazing, saved me from being mauled by rolento so many times

Rufus GT is good for cornering people though, blocked or not, so I just throw it out..

It is safe to lows, but it's so unsafe on block!
 
I've actually traded with raw launch against a high jab or something, it knocked me out the animation but they stayed floating for an easy followup.. I don't know if it's a bug or intentional but it looked mad.

Sorry about the DC guys my internet has been arse tonight, dc'ed about 5 times in ranked aswell.
 
no problem mate, we had a good laugh after you left. i notice raw launch beats every crouching meaty, regardless they hit low or not. still trying to get the timing for alpha counter, its very hard. do you press the button after you blocked or as you block? neither way i couldnt get one to work consistently.
 
GGs Vian, Distorted and Overmostheads. This game really suits my style of play, random :p I am sure you loved my surprise tags Distorted :D

The best way to describe the timing is that you do it right at the start of your blockstun.

Raw launch is a tech jump, invulnerable to lows.
 
Jin is so good. I'm going to pick him up along with King/Kazuya. Everything is safe, he can zone, full combos from overheads. I can see him being better than Kaz albeit with a slightly higher execution barrier and less damage.
wave dash online with kazuya is hard dont know how kenny did it so well the other day. and i cant hit my full steve bnb to save my life online:( steve and kazuya's links are real easy though, i dont think i missed any of them.
It's really easy, all you need is my godlike execution. :)
 
Sticking with Ryu/Akuma at the moment (boring I know). Any decent combos when tagging?
I'm using cmp,cmk,tatsu (or Ryu's super when it's available) but that's pretty boring.

I'm doing ok about half the time. It's already been mentioned but I am struggling with incessant jumpers. Also Hugo (I think it is). He only has to hit me about 6 times on full health and I'm KO'd. He seems a little OP to me.
 
cmp chp Tatsu when going into Ryu. To hit confirm a tag as Ryu you can do cmp cmp cmk hp+hk as the hk will whiff crouching opponents if you try and do cmp cmp cmk hk hk.

You have 2 derp shotos with some of the very best anti airs in the game. Use mp.dp, shk, chp for Ryu in different situations.

I'm using the same characters as you atm until I have a better understanding of the game, it is nothing to be apologetic about, characters are there to be used. You should have no problems with incessant jumpers, use cr.hp or mp.dp and they will soon stop jumping in.

Yea, its the cross ups from wake up which is annoying. Played a rufus who constantly kept on doing his annoying dive kick, I found it difficult to block.
 
Block the dive kicks, are you using rolls on wakeup? Throws are rubbish in this so don't worry about them and if the Rufus just does dive>HP>Galactic Tornado, use the Alpha counter to punish them.
