Mayhem's Aurora - Tharsis Red / Nebulae Blue Pics

Just a few pics for comparison between the two coolants. They where both placed into the loops within two days of each other, the reason Tharsis Red doesn't show through the tubing so well is for two reasons: 1) the tubes need cleaning as I never did from the last fill 2) Tharsis Red isn't as strong as Nebulae Blue

Yes, the res with Tharis Red in it is leaking :D

I ran Tharsis Red for a solid two months, 9hours per day at minimum. That included around four loop drains and rebuilds, all of which will have had some affect on the pearls: Loss to the tools used to extract fluid (jugs, bowls etc), exposure to air (not even sure if air affect's it, but worth a mention).

For me, the reason it only lasted two months was because I added something to the loop I knew was going to affect it which was an EK Supreme HF water block, which although had the jet plate removed the micro-fins are a killer for this fluid. Mayhem's are currently working on a micro-fin friendly version of Aurora right now, no ETA though and I'd expect at a minimum this would take well over a year.

It's because I didn't clean the tubing after my orignal two month stint with Tharsis Red in the trial, in which time the pearls had build up on the tubing. Whilst I waiting for Nebulae Blue to arive over the weekendy, I left pure DI water (after a triple hot water rinse on Saturday) in all day Sunday to wash the loop out. This removed all of the pearls from the tubing, leaving them with a brand new shine :D

Good info, I'm considering replacing the red with galaxy purple, reckon it will be a nice fit with the blue? I can't seem to find a video of it anywhere...

1/2ID 3/4" OD. It was branded as "1/2" ID - 3/4" OD Thermochill Flex Hose (Tygon Equiv) 1m" from another website specialising it water cooling parts.

Great stuff, so in that video is that the current approx shade/appearance of Galaxy purple. I was a bit confused by some of the comments :confused:

I'll be switching out Tharsis Red in around 3 weeks I reckon, getting a little obsessed with this fluid now :D
 
No its not i would say that the Silver is more prominent. it really doesn't show up that well on vids . Just careful with you obsession its not a cheap one :).
