Thought I'd just say that I'm really talking to the older generation of users here

We where the first of the 'Computer Generations' , my son is of the second, I'm so hard-line about bad behaviour on froums because of this.

Personally I think it's time we bucked our collective ideas up , stop teaching such an abysmal example of how to socialise lest it spill over into the RL world and we create a generation of RL trolls.

So boys how about a little bit of the good ole.. lead by example.

Thanks for your attention fellas

Eat my shorts.

LOL,dont have a cow man!:D

I think the dynamics of communicating online are different, people say things on the internet they wouldnt say in real life,i think its all got to do with self control and everybodys different. a lot of people use the internet as a vent for their frustrations too and probobly dont even realise it when being rude. Get a forum full of trolls and people cursing eachother online down to the local pub and i bet they'd all have a great laugh!

See I totally disagree with you. You're generation may be the first one using computers but it's the mid twenties (I'm 23) to thirties that has shaped and poineered the interent, especially through the casual users of forums and social media. With out us wanting faster and better and pushing current technologies I doubt broadband and mobile internet would be where it is today. Even with everything being linked together for ease of access was pioneered by this generation, even though I think some examples have gone too far.
I know many people of your age that still struggle with computers, as your generation only started off with a handful of users it's been this one where virtually everyone is a user.

It's a young person's market full of rules and styles created by and for us. I think the older ones should adapt to us, stop being so pompous, self-righteous and bigoted and relax a bit. If not take ethos to a forum set up for like minded people or back to you "forums" aka the local pub.

After all you wouldn't by the first generation of hover cars, as there's still things that need to be smoothed out.

He's from Liverpool. Just imagine all of it being said in Steven Gerrard's or Jamie Carragher's voice/accent and it makes perfect sense.
