EVGA High flow bracket

Not even that, you've got to wonder what idiot at AMD/Nvidia makes a stupidly restricted rear bracket in the first place, anyone who looked at it for the first dual slot cards should have gone "wait, that seems a bad idea", that 7-8 years later we still have stock cards shipping with stupidly designed rear plates is just ridiculous.

It's probably a health & safety thing

The reason modern cards have restricted brackets is because consumers now demand many output types. Any new card has to support multiple HDMI, DVI, DP ports etc. Most people won't use them all, but it is nice to have the particluar port type you require available. The only real way around this will be to make tripple slots standard, but these won't fit easily into many sytems.

I got my email to say confirmation of delivery to follow. Also if I got my EVGA from overclockers, what is the best way to send EVGA proof of purchase please? (for warranty purposes)

Call me stupid but what the hell are these for? Do they cool the components on the back of the card, sheild from interference or do they just protect the little bits and bobs on the back of it from being damaged accidently?

Would make the card look better thats for sure :)

I think backplates also help stiffen the card which is particularly useful when attaching large cooling solutions or water blocks.

I think u can forward them the order confirmation mail u get after purchase if i remember correctly.

Sounds good,i know cards can warp sometimes significantly when placed under thermal stress and kinetic pressure even just from the PCIe cable hanging off the end of them so even though i dont plan on watercooling one of these i'll be making sure i get one to stop the card warping and cracking tiny solder joints(unlikely but better safe than sorry?)

How do these backplates actually keep the card cooler?
They allow more air to flow out from the back of the case, meaning more cool air is sucked into the card abd along the vapour chamber heatsink. Higher flow equals less temperature as more heat is blown out of the back.

Thats the high flow bracket, ppl have reported seeing a slight reduction in temps with the backplate also but they are mainly for looks, if there is decent airflow over the back of the card, due to the way they are mounted it can shift a bit of the heat.
