Not even that, you've got to wonder what idiot at AMD/Nvidia makes a stupidly restricted rear bracket in the first place, anyone who looked at it for the first dual slot cards should have gone "wait, that seems a bad idea", that 7-8 years later we still have stock cards shipping with stupidly designed rear plates is just ridiculous.
Nice one EVGA, Just registered the card. Recieved an email stating I will recieve shipping details shortly!
Call me stupid but what the hell are these for? Do they cool the components on the back of the card, sheild from interference or do they just protect the little bits and bobs on the back of it from being damaged accidently?
Would make the card look better thats for sure![]()
I got my email to say confirmation of delivery to follow. Also if I got my EVGA from overclockers, what is the best way to send EVGA proof of purchase please? (for warranty purposes)
Do you only need to send the invoice to use RMA ?
I think backplates also help stiffen the card which is particularly useful when attaching large cooling solutions or water blocks.
They allow more air to flow out from the back of the case, meaning more cool air is sucked into the card abd along the vapour chamber heatsink. Higher flow equals less temperature as more heat is blown out of the back. How do these backplates actually keep the card cooler?
