Maybe, maybe not but Roy set the tone of his tenure when his first pre season interview was 'it's always good to start pre-season avoiding a heavy defeat'.

Agreed. Vastly overrated and a horribly frustrating player.
But he can score great goals.

Correct as he is a club legend for a reason, and Roy isn't a legend in any shape or form or really that good to anyone.
The way he conducts himself off the pitch now and back in his first spell, particularly during the Hillsborough disaster is completely different to Roy who blamed the players when we lost and never said it was his fault, claimed it would be utopia to win at Everton as an excuse and constantly said us fans would never take to him anyway and didn't defend Torres over Ferguson's diving claims and never mind his absolutely horrendous hoof ball tactics.
Yeah you're right I wouldn't say that as Kenny earned the right to be respected, Roy earned nothing and hung on to get his fee for being sacked.
