MSI Mobo Comp

I did a search on the web and one of the money saving forums has the answers posted along with a link to enter...I would expect this has led to an influx of people who would not normally have participated.

Regardless if that's the reason why it's been withdrawn, it's sad. :(

Competitions should be made more exclusive to forum members with say 250+ posts, would also help get even more people involved with participation with the forums.

Would also help reduce the amount of random people on websites like moneysavingsexpert website doing these competitions when they more than likely never even shop or use the OcUK forums.

I think that's food for thought for further competitions, certainly.

In any case I like these types of things, they're a bit of fun. The prizes don't need to be anything spectacular either, they could have run it for tenner off vouchers for all their Z77 boards and people would have been quite happy, and it'd have created the type of buzz they're looking for.

I'm surprised OcUK don't run competitions more often, all they'd need to do is have a rule that you've got to be able to supply an order number from the last 6 months if you win, to ensure it's customers and forum users doing them. Again the prizes don't need to be significant, could even be a 5% off your next order for example.

Interesting stuff. I wonder if it's because of random people signing up to enter or links to competitors/competitor forums in the submission forms?

Com'on stulid...spill the beans!;)

edit... just entered as well!:p
