Is it just me? :D

It's simple, drive into station, pick a pump lane if there's none free and just friggin queue, don't sit way back waiting for the best choice for ages. I'm sure her filling needs were not that time critical she absolutely must have the quickest possible fill up.

People are stupid, and it really annoys me, when I had the ST I was filling up every 2 days and the amount of people that just sit there blocking access is ridiculous and when you try to tell them to move they get all arsey with you, grrrrrr I had so much 'petrol rage' at this point in my life.

I also now refuse to go to tesco express type stores, the amount of times you go in and chavs are doing their big shop there, there queues instore are silly at the one in Dudley.

I think I may have a few issues :p

Drive into petrol station, long line of cars waiting for pump, drive up to the free one that is the wrong side for waiting cars, pull the pump across my car and fill up with a smug trollface, drive off after paying with all the other cars still cueing. :p

Queueing.... :p

... I do the same ;) Don't know what causes people to not realise/see this... laziness or stupidity... probably both.

Not worth complaining about - shorter queues for us :)

I use an Allstar fuel card and have to record mileage at each fill. I do use either side of the pump though (Honda Civic).
Some cars historically used to fill behind the number plate (central) eminently sensible and Jags used to have two fillers also sensible, do they still?

No & the two fillers were for two seperate fuel tanks, I believe?

My fuel cards were never chip and pin so despite not needing to enter mileage I would have been going in to pay (I think). I tend to just pick my time for filling up and avoid most of the hassle

I agree, it is much easier to just use the nearest pump and stretch it across the back window if necessary.

Or you could follow the example of some daft woman at tesco the other day who actually did a 3 point turn and pointed the car in the opposite direction to everyone else just so the fuel cap was on the correct side to fill up!

yup, same. Also, you get people queuing at the entrance of the petrol station, ill drive past them and queue AT THE PUMPS, and they get the hump?! Love that one.

Sorry to bump this but my op has just happened again, go to petrol station to join all the panick stricken lolmotorists and low and behold the is four rows of cars with about 5 cars queing in each, one pump completely free so I drive straight in and get my petrol ration avoiding a 30 minute wait :D

The filler is right at the back of our cars though, just park a bit further forward and the hose goes no where near the paint.

this and the design of the hose and nozzle mean that i dont think ive ever ever ever touched my paintwork when filling up on the opposite side

I hate drivers who go to the first pump they come across. At our local BP there is 2 rows with 3 pumps on each row. These dimwit drivers use the first pump they come along leaving 2 spare pumps in front of them. Obviously you can't get past because it's so narrow and full of cars, so as soon as i can, i get in front of said dimwit and proceed to fill up and block them in at the same time until either i finish and go, or the drivers in their cars next to us go.

I've even had confrontations with people asking if i can move forward whilst i'm in the middle of filling up.
Them: "can you move your car forward mate, you're blocking me in"
Me: Well, if you would have used this pump in the first place, then i wouldn't be in front of you would i? DIMWIT!!

It's simple. Go as far forward as you can, and other motorists can use the pumps behind you. Chances are, you'll then be in and out before them and nobody gets blocked in.

Not all pumps have all types of fuel. Some older places only have diesel in a handful of pumps for example.

I did this tonight, it baffles me how so many people are unable to fathom that the pipe will stretch around the rear of the car

As for the pipe touching the paint, if you are blessed with more than one hand then that solves that dilemma

Not only that, but it's made of rubber. It's not like you are dragging a running angle grinder over the paint.
