You might be right... If the OP had linked to some photos of horribly murdered people... idk, sex crimes and murders are a bit different. I'ld say folk are less likely to start fantasising about murder than they are about young girls after seeing such stuff.

It isn't a case of whether or not a person commits a heinous crime deserves deaths. It's whether we as a society have the right to kill them. Utterly barbaric, absolutely not.

So where did everyone saying that they believe that everyone can reformed go after I posted that link in #41?

Anything to say to counter that? 75% of criminals carry on living a life of crime after being released from prison, how can people seriously think that 100% of murderers / child rapists are going to be rehabilitated? Seriously if any person has the capacity to carry out those crimes then they have no chance of rehabilitation, they dont deserve human rights or fair and equal nanny state treatment, they deserve a permanent reinforced cell with a straightjacket and no chance of escape until they die at the very least.

in certain circumstances, definately yes.

if we are going to lock someone up for life (literally they wont ever see the outside of a prison, because they are such a threat to society)

so many people go on about how the death penalty is more expensive than prison ?

no its not, a bullet is far cheaper than paying to house someone for 30+ years

The courts go far too easy them.

There was a Lad round our way who led the police and the media on a wild goose chase for 18 months even appearing on Richard & Judy Saying his wife had left him. Turns out he'd strangled her then cut her into little pieces dumped her bits in various places.

He was jailed in 2001, Then her brother couldn't cope with what happened an commited suicide.

He'll be released in the next 5 yrs.

Should he be executed....No
Should he rot in Jail....Yes
Do I mind paying a little something towards his keep...Certainly not

you would rather pay to house, feed, warm, cloth, educate, entertain all these people for rest of their lives ?

you think its more punishment to keep them locked up, than to just execute them and make sure they never do it again to anyone else

i dont want to pay ongoing to keep these animals housed.

(im talking about serial murderers)

Educate. Nope whats the point I want them to spend the rest of their days in a tiny cell.

Take away everything. Let them go mad let them kill themselves. Putting them to death especially if its painless is an easy way out for the convicted. Why should their suffering end whilst their victims or their victims families suffering continues.
