Collapse of Greece

So, erm, read few latest news suggesting that default of Greece is matter of time, and it will happen on some Friday.. Lucky for me I am going on holiday to Greece this Friday... Maybe some financial knowledgable people would advise how to behave if I were to arrive during default of Greece where Euro would become useless.. :confused:

Greece defaulting on it's national debt doesn't mean the Euro will be worthless......quit worrying.

I meant that I doubt I will be able to buy anything with euro??

I think you'll be fine with Euros as long as the entire eurozone doesn't collapse and abandon the Euro, in which case you really would be stuck with no means of escape except what you can barter with your luggage or orifices, but that doesn't seem to be an immediate prospect.

I mean they would still be happy to see Pounds surely?? If euro collapses it will become immensely powerful?

You will be fine......Iceland defaulted and their currency was largely unaffected in the real world.......forget what the markets do, people will still take the currency, unless the entire Eurozone collapses and in that case we will all have more to worry about than the price of kebabs in downtown Athens.....

Greece fell a long time ago, wake up and smell the coffee. Yes you can still go on holiday over there. Why did they fall.. because they represent greed, simple as.

Russia has much more greed, some experts suggest that shadow economy (stolen money) is 1.5 bigger than the official economy, and it is still fine.

Your either Russian or have some very sympathetic views toward Greece, as Greece fell the most out of any other country in the EU union, and everyone knew that it was because of their lax(criminal) tax laws and easy living lifestyle.

I am not sympathetic, I am saying they`re idiots... I am from eastern europe and we too stole a lot of EU money but we left some so that country would not collapse to keep the income steady from EU, I know since members of my family had some high ranking jobs and this was common practise, unfortenatly for me, their soviet up-bringing did not allow them to be corrupt :/
