England will become a muslim country in the future years?

The OP may be laying it on thick, but there is a point to be had. Here in NL the population is on it's way to 17 million. It is estimated that 1 million are muslim. Considering that this is Christian country with a small Jewish community indicates that all these 1 million are recent immigrants. That 6% in itself isn't a huge deal, but it does make one think what happens if it gets higher.

I remember watching a number of documentaries in the aftermath of the Bosnian war. An interesting point that was made was that the demographics indicated about a 40% muslim population in the area, and that one of the causes of the war was that the Bosnian serbs felt strongly that a "critical mixture level" had been reached. Granted there were obviously many other factors at play, but it would be folly to just ignore this point.

As much as I'd like to think we will all just get along and "work it all out" I'm doubtful. Islam is the only major religion that hasn't gone thru a real reformation. The ideas and thoughts behind it are still rooted in medieval practices. That 6% are to me like having gone back in time and bringing back a bunch of superstitious, uneducated peasants with you.

If only we had listened to James Dean...

But you are a rocket scientist, aren't you?

You don't need to be it's junior school mathematics.

My parents neighbours have had 2 generations of children in the time I've grown up, I'm 28 the girl I grew up playing with already has 5 children, she'll probably have a dozen or so grand children by the time my first child is a teen.

2.7% of people in the UK are Muslim.

DOMINATION.

The Nazis were only 2.6% of Germany in 1928. Not saying Muslims = Nazis, bu that things can change pretty quick.

Ignoring the changing racial demographics... let's say 1 of your friends decides to convert, everyone would laugh at him. But then another friend starts wondering and you have 2 converted friends. A little less weird now. Then a couple more friends notice how much more happier/focused they are and give it a go too. Now it's no so ridiculous and you start wondering yourself.

Once a certain % threshold get's passed, ideas snowball exponentially.

This study suggests it's only 10%.

"When the number of committed opinion holders is below 10 percent, there is no visible progress in the spread of ideas. It would literally take the amount of time comparable to the age of the universe for this size group to reach the majority," said SCNARC Director Boleslaw Szymanski, the Claire and Roland Schmitt Distinguished Professor at Rensselaer. "Once that number grows above 10 percent, the idea spreads like flame."

If my friends suddenly became religious, I would defeat them in a million arguments about it and then not talk them again for sheer stupidity.

You know that much about religion?

I have friends who are religious, I have friends who are not, their personal beliefs are not why I am friends or not with them....if I made arbitrary decisions based purely on whether they held a belief in a God or not then the friendship would be rather shallow tbh......

Indeed. If you had to base your friends on people who agreed with you entirely you wouldn't have very many.

I have friends who believe in sky fairies, friends who believe Scottish independence is a good thing, friends who believe Celtic are a good football team, friends who believe Megan Fox doesn't have a penis, friends who believe the moon landing is fake, friends who believe there might be something in alternative medicine, friends who believe socialism is progress...

Most people are incapable of scientific thought though. The only people who you could debate out of being religious are the ones who wouldn't be religious in the first place.

But seriously most people are just dumb animals and will follow what ever trending meme is going on. They are biologically incapable of independent thought. Like that study I quoted says, once it gets above 10% it can spread exponentially.

That's why the government tries so hard to suppress the BNP and stuff like that which could compete with political correctness. However there is a dichotomy where they can't suppress Islam because that would be racist, the biggest sin in political correctness. Just look at Ken Livingston and George Galloway, two priests of political correctness. They are actively encouraging Islam in the UK.

Christianity = obsolete and racist
Islam = new and culturally enriching
