Car way too low, to the point of looking stupid. Brake upgrade is pointless in a car of that power.this is skin to soundproofing a gti badge and big exhaust on big standard car. Worse than pointless.

I often wonder how people finance this sort of thing - and what posseses them to actually do it (unless very, very wealthy - but even then if you have thousands to ***** on a diesel A3 why would you not just buy something good!)

Infact there was a tv program on a couple of years ago with one of the guys from either mr2oc or imoc showing how much he had spent on the car, and how he had financed it all and gotten into an incredible mess with it. Not suggesting that is the case here, but it's a worrying trend.
 
To be fair to the OP, although I haven't read every reply - if that's what makes him smile when he goes out to his car and that's what he likes then surely that's all that matters? So what if it's only 170bhp? My E39 has the same BHP yet I am spending a lot of money on repairing it, whereas most people would have just scrapped it. I could have bought an E39 M5, or better for the same money.

Too many people slating him in this thread, when infact he has probably spent a lot of time and effort on his car. Surely that's one thing that people here should praise him for, he has a hobby and has invested time into it - fair play to him. Unless everything has been bought on credit then I don't see what the problem is here. I don't think it looks too bad, and yes it could have been a faster car but at the end of the day if the OP enjoys driving it, and likes it for what it is then so what! This is all that matters.

Cool, can we go back to the time when motors was being ruled with an iron fist and only replies like "cool", and "nice motor" were allowed because we were all being too mean :p
