It did feel like a bit of a sinful pleasure watching this show, as it was structured to make you laugh at them, even though you know it's wrong. Of course it could have been a lot different if they had been offering the people involved genuine help with dating.
The guy with Asbergers for example, he seemed like he would be fine if he was just given some guidance. He needs help with letting go from his mother, some tips on etiquette, as eating his date's chip was funny until he started eating the whole plate! Also half a can of deodorant is really not necessary once you are older than 13.
I actually used to know somebody quite similar to him who also had a voice that had never broken, so he sounded like a young boy. What stopped him meeting anyone tended to be his habits and hobbies more than anything, he was into things like keeping pigeons, which is on par with CB radios.
The girl who sometimes used a wheelchair I couldn't work out. At the start of the show they demonstrated that she was an aerial artist, which given that she's broken every bone in her body but two is probably not a wise sport to be involved with. But fair play to her if it's something she loves and goes through the pain for. She clearly wanted to date somebody who wasn't also disabled, the reality of which in this world is probably a tough ask.
With the Tourettes guy, I hope he continued to date her. She was quite pretty though and part of me does wonder how much she was just loving the attention of being on TV, not to mention if she refused a second date wouldn't reflect well on her.
