Custom button remapping petition - I'm heading to PAX East in 3 weeks

(With respect) The main problem for doing this is that it's right pain in the arse (Alternatively : Expensive) to develop for 0.05% of the customers when your product is satisfying 99.95%, they would normally accept that and move along.

Think of it like this.. they can't even be bothered to properly port games for PC Gamers where they ARE making money...

At work we have to make sure everything is accessible by law (thank goodness), and the way we chose to do it is just daft. Making the controls remappable compared to what we do is a lot more simple, and I think it should be made law also, but I don't want to see companies get beat down for not 'doing enough'.

I really want to see gaming companies change, but like a lot of things it will be a massive culture shift for them in that respect. I look forward to the day when every game is totally customisable and excludes 'almost' no one (there are limits!). Off to sign petition :-) (SIGNED)

Signed. Not often I sign after reading a thread on something but this I feel is something that can make a difference with a small amount of effort from game developers.
Also, whilst it might seem like a very small thing to protest about, it must be understood that those who are physically disabled are likely to be into gaming as they simply can't move around outside like the rest of us.

this is what some people don't think about.

i don't know if you've seen my thread or not http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18236540 but im physically disabled (can't use my arms/hands/legs and can't speak well) so im unable to get out much, without being able to game my life would be so boaring.
