Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 11th April 2012]

Poor performance (again), offside, blatant dive and needed a penalty to score against a poor QPR. They have 10 men and we have still looked ****.

Foreigners often get far more abuse for diving but I can't remember many of them proclaiming their innocence in the papers like Gerrard, Rooney and Young have done. It was only last year Young opened up to the media about how upsetting it was to be accused of being a diver :o

That and the fulham penalty decision coming at pretty important times in the league, could be the race over today due to officials.

Just seen the replay. Never a pen. Great from G Nev to say the same thing. Shame all the people will come out with the "referee favouring United" ****. Just a bad decision that Man United had nothing to do with (Young excepted).

I remember the night after Eduardo dived in the CL, where he was plastered on the back of every newspaper in the land, had a huge number of football figures vilifying him, the next night Villa played in Europe and Young won two pens with even worse dives, then made another dive, didn't get mentioned once by anybody.

Young goes down pretty easily a lot, but Gerrard wins the crown for English Diver.

Would like to mention Valencia's first touch though. Keeps having the ball whacked out to him by Scholes and he just stops it dead.

Terrible dive, terrible decision to give the penalty and not flag for offside.

That and the fulham penalty decision coming at pretty important times in the league, could be the race over today due to officials.

:D Hilarious.

He's also been very good when tracking back, the amount of times he's won the ball is quite impressive.

BBC MOTD's Jonathan Pearce at Old Trafford:

"They might have been fortunate to get the penalty but don't take anything away from Manchester United - they've been tremendous."

LOL, you must wonder do these pundits watch the match.
