Guild Wars 2

My play order(which I ordered yesterday) says:

Awaiting stock
Delivery option:Free Delivery
Delivery estimate:3-5 working days

Its not expensive at all for a sub free MMO?

Wow, SWTOR etc cost you £30 then £8 per month every month......so £50 up front and then free is much better value.

Same reason I gave myself when buying the collectors edition...

I spent way too much on wow, game, expansions plus subs...

So glad I don't play it anymore. -__-

really in two minds about getting this

I've been burnt so many times with preoders; AOC, Warhammer, SWTOR being the main three.

Do I chance it...

Call me archaic but I'm really quite frustrated at our lack of being able to pre-purchase by walking into a shop! (Although this may be due to me still having a £50 HMV voucher left over from XMas. Seriously who shops at HMV nowadays???)

Also, any potential OcUK guild starting up yet? Would be good to get started with a guild in beta.

We will be in the game The Immortals www.mmo-guild.co.uk, we had 35/45 players from ocuk with us in swtor.
I've still got an account with you from when I was planning to play SW:ToR with you guys but I just never really got into it.
Are you planning on moving over to GW2 primarily or will your player base likely stick with ToR?
Hello matey, long time no see/speak.
Likewise (ofc), will no doubt catch up with you in the GW2 Beta once HMV get there arses in gear!

I thought all pre-purchace types give us beta access and 3 days headstart, not just the standard edition?

Getting rather confused with it all tbh.

They do. Make sure it is a Pre-Purchase copy though. Several retailers have Standard Editions and Zavvi has the Collector's Edition.

Retailers also offer a Pre-Order which does not include anything extra other than a 1-day head start. (See Play's Collector's Edition)

I think it just depends on what ArenaNet/NCSoft have agreed with retailers. In Europe and America there are shops selling physical copies, you can buy and get your code and box right away. Here there doesn't seem to be anything. Then again maybe they didn't want to risk it with GAME/Gamestation. They still can't get the product up on Amazon though.

CE is still available on Zavvi. I wonder how many they've sold. "Limited" pah!
