I was watching a program last night, were a woman stated that if you do not experience any kind of love as an adult, then you will struggle to function correctly and not experience a "full" life.

Personally I think this is BS, but lets discuss.

I guess its hard to argue that a life is 'full' if a key part of life is missing. I'm sure it's perfectly possible to be quite happy and enjoy life without love but it's not 'full'.

I guess it's worth asking...

...Right?

I don't agree with what the lady you speak of said. Although it would be rare for an individual to not experience some kind of that emotion during adulthood.

I couldn't imagine life without having experienced love for others around me, my family, some friends, then my wife, and now my own family.
Love is based out of family and reproduction.
There is a basic innate need for it in my view.

I agree with the person the OP is talking about. I think that if you never have a relationship with anyone you will never develop a set of skills that are pretty vital in getting on in life.

It is subjective, you have to experience it to realise that you miss it.

I couldn't live without my wife and son...so I suppose from my perspective I agree with woman.

Nope not at all, many many many ways to live your life no need to follow the way the masses say it needs to be done.

I've not been in a relationship in over 2 years (well least none serious) and I'm more than happy with that. I don't feel like I need to be in one, plenty of time for that ****.

Could say that about various things. If you never have kids then have you haven't experienced a full life etc... Don't think it makes a blind bit of difference to how full a life you've lived. Some folks fulfil their lives on their own through many other avenues.

I agree with this.

Then again if you haven't experienced love then you don't know what's missing and as such don't miss it...? Ergo, you can live life to the full in ignorance?
