Guild Wars 2

I must say I am extremely impressed with the service from Affordable Mobiles. They had a few stock issues, but they've emailed me every day, and rang me up yesterday and told me exactly what's going on, that they've sourced some replacement units, but that they come with a full size SIM so they're also sending me out a micro-SIM (not that it matters, I know I can cut mine to size :p), and that they are on track for a delivery today. This morning, I recieved a text saying I can expect the driver to deliver between 1.30 and 2.30 today, and that if I wish to change the date, simply text back with a date and time. Very pleased with them :D

I'll let you know if the "expected delivery time" holds true later ;)

Quick question, when you type in you're code and it asks you if you have a guild wars 1 account.

Do you type in you're username or e-mail address?

May be a stupid question but I have two different e-mail addresses.

use the email address you use to log into guild wars 1

got my pre-purchase box today, yay!! just a dvd box with a card in it with the code, lol

It was £150 at launch iirc, then they dropped it to £100 about 2 years before F2P.

I have 2 x Lifetime accounts, one from Launch and another a couple of years later.

You both wrong it was 99 lifetime founder if paid before launch which I and my missus did.

Still say its the best ton I paid on any game bar none. LotRo was the most social MMO game I ever played with a really great crowd, our Kin is Rohan Riders and while I played the game I loved it.

It told me straight after to update my account information so its all sorted now.

Good job really I can't remember any of my old account details from how many years ago. :p

I see, as you can tell I haven't really done much research on the game. 130 for lifetime sub is ok in my book if I'm going to play it for at least a year. Never bought lotro, just wasn't into it... plus I could have had it free due to my circumstances anyway :p

What do you guys think, will the CE be so limited I would have to pre order or could I get away with buying a normal copy then a CE later down the line?

I think you're missing the point.

There is no sub to the game, you can buy any version at a one off price and never have to spend another penny on it.

The reason people are talking about subs is because they're justifying why it costs so much. If you buy the collector's edition, you'd be paying the same as buying a game like WoW and a year's sub, but you get all the CE extras. If you just buy the normal edition for £45, you'll still never have to pay subs.

I realise that. I don't mind waiting a bit and buying a normal version for £30 and then if I like it buying the CE for £130 for the extras. The point I am trying to make is, I would rather know I like the game before placing down that amount of money.

Kind of tired buying collectors editions of mmos to find I just get bored of them eventually.
I've done it with:

Star wars
WoW (actually played this until last year)
Conan
Warhammer
Star trek

The first wow CE had been the only difficult edition to get a hold of, I haven't really found that other mmo CE have sold out completely.

FWIW, ANet have said that there will only be one production run of the CE items, once that's gone, you are out of luck. Not the first time someone has said that, so the choice is yours :)
