Guild Wars 2

Ah ok, apologies then.

I'd expect the CE copies to sell out quickly. Apart from the hype about this game, I'd expect it to be very popular because a lot of people want to play MMOs but don't want the hassle of buying time or having content limited by microtransactions.

try buying guildwars prophecy CE now :P

guildwars works diff aswell, you cant upgrade your account in anyway, if you could buy the CE later, it would be a new account, meaning lost work on your old characters.

im happy i have all the guildwars CE's, its given me 6/7 years of fun, fun where as i can install and play whenever i want, i usually play in blocks of 3 months or so then life kicks in, and ill go back to it a few months later without forking out for it.

I trust anet will do an amazing job with gw2. I hope.

That isn't true. You can add any GW serial key to an existing game and it will give you the benefits of the additional key.

For example you have standard GW Prophecies and you get hold of an unused Prophecies CE key. You can add that key to your account and you will get the benefits of the CE, not including any already provided by the standard edition.

Arena Net have already said it will be possible to upgrade from the Standard Edition to the Deluxe Edition via the store [no word on price]. So that is always a possibility and you'll get the in-game items.

The stores have to deliver the Pre-Purchase keys.

If you order the Standard Edition that is all you receive and it works for the full game too. If you order the Collectors Edition then at launch you have to go back to the retailer and provide proof of purchase for the box and items.

The Digital Deluxe version is available direct from Arena Net and from a few selected digital distributors, including GreenManGaming

There is no release date yet, only '2012'.

Well, first I tried my old gw account info and it didn't recognize it.

Then tried with my new info and got this...
