Hey all not been in this thread for a while and it's full of pre-purchase and beta talk!
What's the mad pre-purchase rush all about? Is there a beta weekend coming up?
I was going to wait but seeing the greenman 10% as well as quidco 8% offers I couldn't resist!
If this game turns out like warhammer did then I'll not be a happy man. (warhammer was the last 'big' mmo I got really excited about and I was so so so disappointed after the first few weeks I could've cried)
It depends why you didnt like it, warhammer had a lot of problems, mainly because it wasnt finished and was pushed out the door because of EA, the fact GW2 isnt funded by the devil should be a massive plus..
still not sure about purchasing it yet. I beta tested one weekend, but I'm not sure if I can really be bothered to slog it to max level in a new mmo. I really like the world vs world concept, Im just not sure i want to put the hours in to get there.
You can join PvP at lvl1 and have full skills and equal armour. As soon as you enter a PvP area you're boosted to max level, given all the skills and armour etc so it's even.

Edit: Actually not sure about WvWvW after watching a video. You definitely get bolstered because the guy had like 18k hp at lvl2, but he didn't have all his skills and was using the same armour as when he was in PvE beforehand. It definitely says that you get given the gear and levels for PvP on that page though so it might've been a video of early beta or something.

You can now buy the deluxe version too which is £20 cheaper than the official webby.
