Guild Wars 2

How do you find out your GW1 username? I can login to the game using my email & password but can't get on the arenanet site & can't do recovery as my secret question is 'First name ;)' - wtf is that supposed to mean?! Nothing works - either that or I put a fake DoB in =/

Goddamn younger me, **** you!

How about trying your actual name :) This game came out when I was 15-16 and I still wonder wtf was I thinking when I made that name or password.

50 Points thats insane. Although I guess if all you played was pve. Im only on 22 but I spent most of the time playing gvg years ago. Just lately reinstalled the game and trying to do the WiK quest to get a few extra points from getting a weapon and extra gold for armours.

No its not insane, its easy.

Rank 6 Gladiator
Rank 7 Hero
Rank 4 Skillz

And the rest of whatever is here

Legendary protector / hero / defender are easy, just finish every mission on NM and HM with masters rewards.

Legendary Vanquisher is easy but time consuming. I did it very slowly but gradually over 3 years.

Legendary skill hinter is easy.

Legendary Cartographer is a pain in the 4$$, but doable with texmod.

6 x eternal conquerors are easy, just complete all of the end game elite content one time.

Lucky / Unlucky only need to be rank 2 to count, easy to do during canthan new year.

Luxon / Kurzick only need to be rank 4 to count, easily doable during a double faction weekend.

And then its just reputation title grind, and also zaishen supporter which you can grind random arenas for or just farm and buy keys.

When the HoM calculator first came out I was already on 22 points. Within a week I was up to 35 points with minimal effort, and then slowly kept going up towards 50.

It's only 'insane' if you only just started playing the game within the last few months, if you've been playing 6 years ..... well really you have to be a complete noob like me to only have 49 HoM points and 22 titles :p

The HoM rewards / titles are nothing more than achievements to unlock while playing, like the ones you have on Steam. Over the full course that the game has been out for, it requires next to no effort, just logging in and playing towards unlocking those achievements. The only thing that stopped me from getting GWAMM was sheer boredom after 2 years of playing hardcore.

Well I only played the game for 3 years and that was all pvp pretty much and haven't played in over 2 years. My pve character hadn't even been to Ascalon up until a few days ago :)

I guess its not insane just time consuming. Given I am concentrating on other games getting HoM stuff is just casual play atm. 25-28 is acceptable to me. Just need gold and to finish WiK.

With the beta so close, I'm not sure I would be able to go back to gw1 after playing 2 :).

Well if all you ever do is PVP then of course you're not gonna get any PVE content done.

Then again if all you are interested in is PVP, why would the PVE focused HoM rewards interest you? If you werent interested in titles or weapon / armour skins in the first game, then you dont need the HoM rewards for GW2 surely. Its just weapon and armour skins and pets.

Ive not played GW1 for about 3 1/2 years, Ive just checked and I have 3/50 HoM :p

Are there any HoM points that are easy to 'buy' in game? I think I have about 900k plats in my storage.

I dont think I can find the urge to start playing again now.

For what ever reason the site does not have you listed at all, well not under 'Brood' try re-sign up, if that fails (tho should not) just pm me you email address and I will manually set you up.

May be because the was a bit of work going on behind the scene as we were in the process of swapping out the web site to a new one, but think thats gonna be shelved for now.

Well I do like pve of course. I did complete every game twice. Just concentrated more on pvp so the pve titles I wasn't really interested in. I will more than likely be doing more pve in GW2 and hey who doesn't want nice looking items :).

Im going to assume since they have yet to make an announcement about the beta it won't be this weekend.

Yeah the weapon, armour, minipets and followers can all be bought. There are still plenty of people running missions etc so you can even buy titles if you have plenty of plat.

Fellowship and Devotion are easiest to fill up first. Cheap white minis and cloths of brotherhood will get you a fair few points for little plat and time.

I filled up my Fellowship from grinding cloths of brotherhood over a day or two ...

Shortly after which I started the grind for a tormented weapon, and enjoyed and played DoA regularly and stocked up 8-10 primeval armour remnants :x

I stashed them all away on my second account rather than selling them though, but I couldnt be asked getting my second account to 30 points .... yet :p

So I caved in and purchased the Pre-purchase. I was sure my nerve would hold as I wanted the "awe" of playing on the first day rather than me testing myself on the beta... never mind.

Now to see if I can hold off the beta access and just use the three days head start hmmmmm :p

Why the **** would you do that when it's right there for you to test? I understand you want to experience it when it's fully available, but playing a beta won't harm that, it didn't for me when i was playing SW:TOR.
