*** League of Legends ***

Trist is actually very strong early game, one of the strongest early game ADs in fact. Her problem is her extremely lack-luster mid game which combined with the fact it is impossible for her to freeze a lane (make that passive a damn toggle already Riot) is the reason she isn't seen much in professional play right now. Late game the only character in the game that can out-carry her is Kog'Maw, which makes her a pretty damn good solo queue character as if you can snowball you can pretty much single-handidly win the game for your team.

If you are talking about Lulu solo lane (if it's support, ignore what I'm saying next), then yes it's incredibly strong and she's pretty broken right now. Riot has already acknowledged this and nerfs are incoming (to both her and Soraka, to prevent the solo lane dominance that the two have right now) so if you are enjoying it play it as much as you can, while you can :D
Yes your right I meant she's a ****er with the last hits early game making it a pain. but once your damage is up and then your passive becomes very usefull rather than a burden. Example being on your tower you kill one it doesn't kill the creep next to it but takes enough health that the tower does pain in the ***.

Soraka is just annoying the silence and heal is so strong makes me a sad panda.

I use tristana and leona the most in solo queue leona is just a good fun support hero and if your lane partner is quick off the mark you can ruin games early. :O

I'd agree re Leona, never really like being in a support lane against her but not sure he scales that much moving to mid and late - or I don't tend to notice her so much later on :)

I'm re-thinking my runes. I'm about to hit lvl20 on my EU account and looking for a generic rune page or two that will work for most champs.

I'm thinking for one maybe flat AD reds and quints and AS blues and yellows.

I could also use an AP one, flat AP blues and quints, CDR and scaling MR yellows and MR/Armour blues?

I know a lot of people use arpen (and I do on my US account) but I like to be as strong as possible early game, I can always build LW, BC, MBR etc late game if someone's got a lot of armour. Being stronger early game and getting kills is better IMO than being weak early game and suffering for it then being weaker late game because you're not as fed (either CS or kills). I don't know if almost completely negating enemies' armour would be stronger than buffing abilities at early levels though.

Champs I play are Skarner, Udyr, I'll be getting the new one tomorrow, I'll probably buy Shyvana again, Riven, Lee Sin, Brand, Soraka, I might learn Janna since I have her, hopefully I'll get Graves soon, maybe Kog.

For my tank champs I seem to build towards armour and magic resist with some mana regen thrown in (only because I am so hopeless at my use of mama :) )- but I think this is what a lot of builds have gone towards as they are tweaking the values to encourage people to try and diversify and make the magic resist less optimal (not sure about armour)

I won't be playing tank champs. Some of the ones I said are obviously tanky, but no out and out tanks.

My main thoughts are if it's worth getting tanky runes and arpen or if I should just get that stuff from items ingame.

i played mid against an alistar one, i cant exactly remember who i was playing, he didnt farm all that well, but combined with their fiddlesticks jungler if he ever got in range of me i died instantly no questions asked, he also ganked pretty well if the lanes werent paying attention

... but as soon as the laning ended he was pretty useless, yay

Buy armor Yellows. This is non-negotiable, you will use them on practically every champion. They are just that good. Also pick up flat MR. After that it really depends on what you want to play.

Not seen a mid Alistair but the jungle ones that appear from time to time seem pretty good. Support Alistair is excellent imho - love playing him.

Been a while Devil how are things.

The patch is usually the day following US, so if US is patched today we get the patch tomorrow.

This thread has just been pointed out to me

http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=685784

Really good thread if you want to get a feel for some of the current positions with champions as far as Riot is concerned
Cool thread

bookmarked :D

It's a shame they nerfed evelynn so hard and are not going to fix her
from that thread it seems like they only did it because of all the new players that were complaining :(

I've been playing lux recently :D

Getting a bit bored of LoL recently tho :(

Hopefully the new patch will fix a few things and the rune changes might change AP stuff a little.

Your always welcome to hop onto the mumble server and meet some other players, all sorts of skill in here. Definitely seems to be getting quieter though :(

I've given up.

1) All the new heroes have a dash or escape mechanism.
2) Fiora and Fizz' untargetable abilities. Yawnfest.
3) Flash. Why is that still in the game?
4) Still no ward or potion slot? Really?
5) Replays? Come on!
6) All the new heroes seem to be a hybrid of existing heroes but better.

Meh.

You really have no clue.

lol finally got my dota2 key today. Can't wait to try it but I think LoL probably instilled too many bad habits to play well lol

You do realise a large number of us have DOTA2 already in here :)

On a more relevant point - patch is up for those who want to grab it before gaming later :)

I got Hec and he's great fun ^^

Went 11/1/8 my first game. He plays a lot like Skarner with the Q spam and movement buff E (on Skarn it's W). His ult basically works a bit like Shyv's (the initial part) apart from it doesn't push enemies back.

The knockback is actually pretty harsh, it depends how far you've ran I think (I can't 100% confirm) but it's knocked people past my teammates before rather than just to them.

1. I enjoy that some chars do, Fiora for example is a joy to play with her W
2. so what?
3. because it helps with tactical retreats, getting mobbed 5v1...It has a ridiculous cooldown which means youd only ever use it twice in a game I dont see why people complain about it?
4.but this is part of managing your buying surely, and when do you need potions late game? bc thats the only time slots become an issue
5. its a fair point, but 99% of the time a team knows where they lost a game. It normally after the message ACED appears on screen :D
6. true to a point, but they do all ultimately play very differently despite maybe having some similar skill sets.
