**AMAZING VTX3D 7970 X EDITION DEAL - £359.99 Inc. VAT!!**

Should get mine tomorrow, looking forward to see how it performs. Finally finishing off my build after a ridiculously long time. Should still last me a couple of years though :)

That's a pure stock card, the VTX X edition deal was non reference cooling and higher clocks. That is why it was such an awesome deal.

I guess it depends how you look at it. Personally I think the VTX looks a bit tacky, and the overclock is here nor there as you could do that in about two seconds using Afterburner.

The fact you find it tacky is neither here nor there, as others may like the look. I dont mind it. As for overclock yeah sure, your right. But its 10 quid cheaper.

Fact is, it was clocked higher and had better cooling than the stock card you linked for a tenner more. Common sense tells me which card I would buy.

If we follow your example we should go buy hotter cards with lower clocks that cost more, no offence intended but, just silly really.

I don't see mine, The best thing by far is the noise, It's pretty much silent with only a feint humm in furmark..

Really impressed with this card, clocked to 1250/1600 @ 1.25 without any crashes in Furmark/Heaven. Temps are around 60 under load, the fan is barely audible at that temp.

Going to try some gaming now, see how it holds up.

I really like the XFX DD cards. Nice metal cover and looks really classy. Having said that, this card was a brilliant deal. I need a black / red card to match my motherboard.

Good to know. As for the looks it doesn't fit with my case/mobo at all but for what you get in the current market it was too good to pass up. I really wanted an MSI card but despite being able to afford it it just didn't make any sense. As for the 2 year warranty I may have traded up by then so wasn't a deal breaker. More important was OCUK handling the RMA. Hope I get a good one ;)

Does sound good, ordered one Wed afternoon but had to wait for buy it now pay later thing (i've only done half work this month, so im poor until next month, but couldnt resit) Anyway order status has been in warehouse queue all day, guessing i missed out...

Edit by Gibbo - Competitor talk and price mentioning is not permitted within the OcUK rules.

I will be buying one as I don't like stock coolers, I much prefer dual fan cards like this one.

This card really is quiet for anybody interested. Also out of interest, does factory overclock mean you can push your overclocking, compared to non-ref by the amount it's been increased by ?

Somebody sent me a message asking about the cables the VTX comes with. I cannot find the message to reply so will post this here and hope they find it....

It comes with -

1 x Active mini DP to DVI cable
1 x HDMI to DVI cable
1 x Mini DP to standard DP cable
1 x 6 pin to 8 pin PCI-e power adapter
1 x Crossfire bridge
1 x DVI to VGA adapter

Everything is included for running 3 DVi screens in eyefinity.

Also a couple of shots showing the cooler.... Just for the fun of it... :-)

What's the stock voltage on this card? Mine should be here tomorrow and I'm going to overclock but just wondered what would be the max overclock on stock volts?
