Oh okay, I thought you were kneejerk huffing and puffing because I'm talking about WoW experience anecdotally. I'm not trying to make comparisons. I have extensive experience in GW1 and WoW - I know they're different. However when it comes to things like community and social experience, the games are hardly radically apart.

WvWvW is casual, fun, unstructured PVP that you simply enter and play, like random arenas was in GW1.

There is also a structured organised 5v5 PVP in GW2 where you play ranked matches and compete on a ladder with your guild / friends, like GVG was in GW1. There will likely also be cash prize tournaments for this like GW1 had at the start (GW1 championships gave out $100,000 to the winning guild).

I never had any interest in GVG as it took too long to form groups, and I wasnt leet enough for all the PVP pros, so I just stuck to random arenas. Similarly in GW2 I will mainly just be doing PVE and WvWvW.

This is not WoW, it isnt trying to be WoW, it will be very different to WoW.

If all you are expecting is WoW 2.0, then wait for Blizzards next MMO, GW2 isnt here to be a sequel to WoW, its a sequel to GW1 with open world MMO features and brand new innovative mechanics being added to it.



This is all I had to read to know that every one of your posts about Gw / GW2 is now 100% completely invalid and wrong.

What are you about I never ever once compared this game to wow I only ever played wow for maybe 20 days? so I have no idea what you on about.

NB: while I'm answering you how did you get the 7 year pet as I not logged into my account yesterday have all the others up to year 6 :(

While playing yesterday around 4pm onwards there was a bit of an argument going on in guild chat. 'Arknor' kept going on and on about the current problems in swtor and when others tried to point out that the game was just released and will get better (myself included) he just kept on complaining and bringing up comparisons with WoW.

yeah but then you go on to say 'you' which makes it as if you referring to me, but no matter I was just a bit surprised :D, specially as I have agreed with almost every thing you have said on the boards about GW2 :(
 
Well every single person on this forum can read the word 'you' and think that a post is automatically referring to them when it isnt.

I dont see how difficult it is to realize the comments I posted were a reply to the QUOTES you posted.

Sheesh, why cant people learn to read.

Thats only for the beta not the final game.

You didnt read the threads correctly it seems, the developers are purposefully stressing the CPU performance of the game over this beta weekend to help them optimize it better for release.

It is however recommended to have a 2500k and a GTX 560 ti / 6950 (better to get a 7850 now) for maximum settings.

WvWvW will be much more CPU than GPU intensive.
