Far Cry 3

Yeah I'm pretty distressed by the invincibility of the main char, but as above hope thats a gameplay setting. And the quest? Looking for mushrooms?! Oh dear. But unlike others I did have some fun in Farcry2, it could have done with some changed ofc but it wasnt all bad. I enjoyed the hardest difficulty, its hard to find games with realistic bullet damage these days and thats very annoying!

Why does every mp pc shooter these days have to look and play like CoD/BF :/

The genre is beyond stale.

It isn't finished yet and that appears to be the console version, complaining about graphics now is stupid.

Not sure what you are talking about characters all looking the same, they are bad guys, bad guys always look the same.

I tend to keep an open mind on all games until i've started playing. I enjoyed both the first two for different reasons so looking forward to this.

It looks okay, but it's a Ubisoft game, so I would never buy it.

FOV is really **** and the graphics ain't great. But yeah looks like a console version.

Aim assist too (I think)

on the FAR CRY website the graphics looks far better, it looks similar to 1st game.... this game is massive, but it's all jungle so it should look excellent, it's also weird and disturbing

I'll probably get it on release, I didn't mind Far Cry 2. Don't think I played it enough.

Well it had it's flaws, kill about 30 people, turn back around and they've all respawned.

I liked the gun mechanics and the graphics, story line was OKish.

If it's ironed out then Far Cry 3 should be an incredible game.

I wonder if they have fixed the stealth mechanics this time (one of my main gripes with far cry 2 considering the emphasis on stealth in the original).

I think it looks pretty good tbh, some of you guys forget that 99.9% of games are built for xbox and ported to pc, the graphics can only get so good.

Yes please, a decent remake of the first would be great - I played through it again last year. However if its console based this will be hard. From memory the Xbox has a GeForce 2 right? What they get out of a gf2 is remarkable, but its still not really going to be an all singing, all dancing remake the game deserves.

The sooner the new Xbox is out the better.

The 360 has an ATi 1800 / 1900 XT iirc. I think its the PS3 that has either a 7800 / 7900 Geforce gpu in it.
