Guild Wars 2 What Server You Playing *POLL Please*

Desolation is currently looking like the UK-guilds home at the moment... RockPaperShotgun and PCGamer are rolling there, as are other 'UK Guilds'. Any thoughts?
 
FoW is going to be used for the Italians it seems, so I'm just going to roll on the GW2 Guru server first instead.
 
BTW while its free to change servers, you are stuck to your home server for WvWvW. They had to do this to prevent players from simply freely moving to the most powerful WvWvW servers to easilly win all the time.

PVE and structured PVP can be played on any server, but you can only play for your home server in WvWvW.

Not quite true... You can play for a different server on WvWvW after two weeks of changing to that server.
Obviously that won't matter for the beta weekend though.
 
You got a link for that? I thought I read that it costs 1800 gems to change your home server.

My idea then is to create my characters on which server looks best for PVP (looking like the GWGuru server), but play PVE on other servers.

I think I'll go onto the same server that my current guild are going to use for the beta just so I can get stuck in with playing with them.

Seems you are correct, I'm sure they were going to have it free at one point
 
It is free to play on any server for PVE and instanced structured PVP, but you are stuck to your home server for WvWvW. So my home server will have to be the GWguru one as they also have 2 PVP guilds rolling there too.
 
GWguru forum seems more desirable than 4chan, reddit, something awful etc.

I'll take elitists who strive to play the game at their best possible potential than those other servers for WvWvW.
 
is WvWvW linked to anything in PvE? like in GW1 the hall of heroes battles used to be linked to your region accessing the underworld and fissure of woe

if it is, i'd like to be joining the server thats probably going to win more lol

Updated the sever list with some changes. Allso once again to add

this is meant to serve as an indicator of where people may be going, not as a designation of a russian server, polish server, spanish server, german server, etc...

There are still server-wide buffs applied according to WvWvW victories, afaik.
 
The guild I am in are rolling on Desolation as it seems thats where the UK guilds are going!
