You can tell he isn't flying it, he's using a tablet which would make for a very poor remote, you'd do better with an Xbox 360 controller. You can see it flying around a bit when he isn't even looking at it too.

Aside from it looking fake, another nail in the coffin in safety. There is no way he would be allowed out in the open like that with an armed quadcopter. Ranges have firing lines for a reason, so no one walks into danger and gets killed, with a flying vehicles the firing line is 360 degrees around, he would need to be in a bunker in case something went wrong.

You've been shelled for days, a non-stop rain of steel, thunder and fury incessantly crashing down all around you like the hammer blows of an angry God as you cower in your fox-hole. And then, as the Hellish maelstrom ends and a measure of stillness and tranquility finally descends on the shattered moonscape that remains, out of the freezing mists that shrouds all, comes this roar as a wall of thousands of Red Army soldiers come charging toward you, hell bent on vengeance for the horrors their homeland had suffered at the hands of the Wehrmacht over the past four years.
