Looking for a new TV.

Requirements are:

1. Full HD (1080p).
2. Inbuilt HD tuner
3. FAST UI!!! <---- This is important. The Sony 32" war have now is soooo sloowwwwwww.

Budget: £500ish

Thoughts?

Gobsmacked and amazed by how good this TV is at £499.99 and has the bonus of 3D. Got mine from Sainsburys with one free pair of glasses. Did manage to source 'compatible' 3D glasses for £29.99 which are excellent value and work very well. Sadly the Sharp glasses are £59.99, also Sainsburys and cheapest around.:D

I've just got a Panasonic G30, and I'm just blown away the best PQ I have ever seen on a TV.

The ST30 is a similar price too.

I can get the TX-P42G30B for £430ish now.

I will be watching things during the day, so is plasma really the way to go?

Would love to hear peoples thoughts on this. I was considering a Panasonic plasma G30 but was put off by peoples comments on brightness.

My parents have an older Panasonic plasma (Don't know the model, probably the year before) one in their living room and it looks pretty washed out compared to my Sony LCD.

All 30s will be old stock ex-display, they are last years models, they are on the 50s now.
Don't expect to find a nice new boxed one ready to go, they'll all have seen display usage.

Well, they are new on a high street retailer.

Found one online for £460 + 2% cash back.

Can anyone actually find these TX-P42G30B in a high street shop?

I'd like to see if before I buy...

Ok, definitely going back.

For a highly recommended TV I'm actually rather disappointed.

1. Flicker
2. Rainbow trails
3. Image 'ghosting' - during the tennis, baselines seem to streak over the screen.

Really quite disappointed :(

Anybody got any suggestions what I should get instead in the 37"-42" range?

What mode do you have that GT setup in for watching the tennis?
Have you played about with the features?
Consult avforums for exatcly what you should be using to watch sports.

I have the Samsung 40" d6530 and it is a stunning set. You can get them refurb for £500.
