Just wondering if anyone out there has had their internet doubled yet on Virgin Medias new plans?

Mine was promised between March and April, but have not seen any change yet!

Cant seem to find any information on the 50 to 100mb service either

According to "My Virgin Media", my area has been upgraded and I should be getting it soon.

Only 4 days left!

EDIT: /\ Upload not doubling is normal. Virgin said it could take awhile after the downstream upgrade for the upload to go up.

Mine is supposed to be March-April too. While I am rather happy with my service from VM, and have been since it was Nynex, VM's date and time promises mean naff all.

My speed as doubled. VM said it would be done in July 2012 but they did it last week after I complained about loss of service...(long story).

My areaa (Poole, Dorset) has been 'upped' from 50 - 100MB and should get the 120MB in July :)

10GB 9am-3pm and 5GB 4pm-9pm.

Speed is reduced by 50% if you go over, so you'll go back to 30MB which is pretty imo.

Can you can confirm that as I remember downloading much more before the cap hit?

At the moment my 30MB drops to 8MB (70% ish). Are they raising the limit to 50%?

The 10GB and 5GB caps have always been there for 30MB (until recently when they have went down as shown) and will be there for 60.

The capped speed is being increased (so reduction in %), so you are effectively getting double your original capped download speed (will go down to 15MB whilst you are on the 30MB package, then up to 30MB when you get doubled to 60MB).

I just signed in to My Virgin Media as am on the 20mb service. Saw a green message saying about upgrading the speeds. Then asked me to request a new superhub and to get it delivered. Sweeeeet

If I hadn't checked I'd have still been waiting. 60mb here I come (soon)

Hey guys,

I live in the Dundee area and the Virgin site states that my 50meg broadband should be going upto 100meg between March and April. It says on the Virgin account that this are has been upgraded and that the increase should be applied shortly but it's now the 29th and still nothing. Do I need to reset the superhub or something or do you think they have just not flipped the swith ?

Cheers,

Kev

Leave the hub unplugged for a few mins, might force down the updated. Chances are it's just not been sorted fully yet though.

I'm in Dundee (DD1) and my 100mb upgrade was done yesterday (Sat 28th), noticed when I got home and downloaded something, didn't even have to reset router.
Douglas area was upgraded a couple of days ago too, so you should be soon.

Mine got upgraded at the weekend :D Was kinda suprised to me getting 100meg speeds, thought I would need the superhub to achieve...
