Mind if I ask if you often drink around them during the day? Perhaps she sees it as an issue...

This - she is also prob knackered from looking after the little one, where as your equally as knackered cause you work full time...miscommunication and tiredness do not mix IME

Your wife is tired bringing up a new born baby and still recovering from the birth, she has no escape from this.

You are tired from working and decide to spend your day off drinking beer as an escape.

If you cannot see why she is hacked off she is probably better of at her mums.

no like i said just on my day off, Im worried though she never buggered off before, i really love her

Maybe drinking on your day off (during the daylight hours) when all she really wants is for you to give her a hand and spend some time with her and the little one is where the problem lies...drink when the baby is asleep and work as a top parenting team when the baby is awake..?

Monday is my day off work i bought 4 cans of beer and she hit the roof and started an argument... i dont sleep at night for obvious reasons i work all day dont get home till 11 on my day off i like a few bevvies

What about offering some assistance on your day off with your new child?

be more productive, gives your missus some needed rest then have some beer at night.

explain please

There's no background story, we don't know the history. Plus, if YOU don't know what your long-term partner is thinking how the hell are WE supposed to know?

If you're in a lot of debt and have to compromise on things, come back late every day and when you are around you're drunk.

Oh and why can't you sleep at night? Does your partner not sleep either?
