Guild Wars 2

Hey, I found that if you used the armor spells and water healing spells you could just about run far away enough to survive if over aggroed, I only got to level 14 but i did love it.
How did you find the mesmer, I think that's what i will be trying next beta, I heard that they are great on one on ones but weak against groups?

due to the 4 ele atunements i think (as far as i can tell, not played beta) they are an incredibly versatile class. And while all classes have a high level of versatility I think Ely takes the lead.

I only played the starter part up to the elemental boss on a mesmer, guardian and a little more on a thief, I liked the elementalist too much that I couldnt play another class until I complete the game on an elly first.

But I'll fill all my character slots on the first day so I get more presents every year.

Mesmer is great fun to play. Solo is perfectly fine, you will most likely have at least one control ability between your weapon choices as well as being able to march your illusions in to daze if necessary, so a lot of control. Groups I guess depends on your weapon setup. I was using a Staff / Sceptor-Pistol, this offered me a 2 target stun and a field that has a chance to fear as well as personal bubble that has a chance to fear. It pretty much comes down to proper use of illusions, they are not only the source of your hardest hitter but do huge amounts of aoe damage with that, as well as the options to AoE daze -- any mesmers that used a fire & forget method with illusions would be severely gimping themselves.

PvP wise I found it immense, I don't know if I kept finding nubs, but I must have had 10-15 1v1 fights and didn't lose any. Between their confusion of your illusions, your high burst, high control as well as a cheeky trait allowing you to auto-stealth at 25% hp, you're pretty much unkillable and can just gtfo at any point in a fight. If they try and gtfo? offhand pistol stun > any attempts by anyone to run away.

The only place I found the Mesmer lacking was during sieges, attacking or defending. Your illusions can't get inside/outside of walls and ignore doors, so straight away a huge source of your burst damage is gone, without the illusions your large aoe is gone (although in large group pvp they rarely make it to the target anyway) -- you can keep throwing abilities about but I imagine you would probably best serve as a siege-device monkey.

I knew that CJS key site looked dodgy! Glad i didn't use it. Good luck with getting it resolved.

I looked at the site for less than 10 seconds and knew it wasn't worth it, I don't understand how people can let common sense slip just to risk a few bob. I ordered from play for only a few pound more and received my stuff well before the beta started. Hopefully people who had troubles will know better next time...probably not

To be fair Cjs don't hide from the fact they buy out of region, where they may have mucked up is somehow ending up with us keys. I don't have an issue per sec with Cjs - I'm as concerned that the email account doesn't get banned. The refunds it sounds like Cjs will give if it proves these keys are bad. Good job on bhavv's side getting this clarified as we do need to get this resolved within the PayPal dispute times? I bought from Cjs as I left the purchase too late to guarantee delivery by the weekend and got sucked into the gw2 hype, the weekend ride was fun :)

Just start a dispute on Paypal, they instantly refunded me less than an hour later and quite a few others have done this.

Not sure on the email account side of things though.

I'll request a refund after anet clarify the position. I assume those getting refunds don't plan to use the keys for the game.

Nope. I'd want to use the cash store at some point and I'll need a valid EU key to do that. As soon as I get a refund I'll be buying directly from the GW2 site.

For all you know the resolution maybe for anet to agree to have these accounts sorted out, or for them to clarify their is no issue with these accounts. The refund won't allow you to sign the EU one up unless this is sorted or you use a different email address.

They've actually changed their website since the **** hit the fan, originally they were saying that the keys weren't region locked and would work anywhere.

Anet clearly saying "You know you can actually jump in our game now" :D

Even with the slightly sliding movement didn't look to difficult to be precise.

I never played the beta, as i couldn't choose the Asura and i didn't like the ones that were available in the beta.

Just yesterday their customer support sent me a link to their information page saying that they have valid EU keys supplied by NCsoft / Arenanet, and that there is only one 'uni region' code on GW2 keys and the issue being due to an in game bug

I'm just waiting to hear from Arenanet that my account wont be negatively affected before opening a paypal dispute.

They probably changed their position after the message I sent them.
