I think this is where word definitions become confusion, because sometimes the implication is that it's relative.

She's certainly attractive. Were she not famous, I was 10 years younger and looking my all time best and I managed to pull her I'd be very impressed with myself. Although I do say that without having heard her speak or watch her move etc, I just did a quick google. However relative to some of the beautiful women punted at us daily through the media she could probably be said not be not as attractive as them.

Then again the kind of personality that's needed to become famous most of the time these days means that a beautiful girl starts looking worse and worse every time they open their mouth.
