Samsung S23A700D Owners Information/Help

Hi! I read your post which explained a lot of things, but I was more looking at the NVIDIA 3D vision, ive been following instructions seen on the forum but windows doesn't seem to want to install the IR emitter device driver :s

You have to use the glasses that come with the monitor, are you using an nvidia kit?

Got mine today, I have to say this monitor is incredible. I'm having a issue sync'ing the glasses though. I set the 3D mode and hold down the button on the glasses and it begins to flash green/red to say it's syncing but it just does not seem to sync? I get no message on the monitor and the glasses eventually just turn off again?

Have you tried watching something? Mine do that but they sync, the light doesn't stay on when they're on, it just flashes red and green and then they work, only sometimes it says "3d glasses connected to monitor".

No, just the supplied Samsung ones! My problem is I get stuck at the 3D vision setup wizard when it asks to plug in the IR emitter and the program that is meant to simulate the emitter doesn't seem to work.

3D is working fine for me... Used link provided by someone on this thread http://www.tridef.com/download/TriDef-3D-latest.html

All i have to say is amazing, i went from a 22" 1680 x 1050 monitor which i had for 4 years so you can imagine the improvement. You tube in 3D, ha. You must try the chainsaw and drill vids.... :)

Anyone tried LFD2 in 3D? I would say one of the better 3D games but i find aiming very hard? Anyone have this issue, is there anyway to make the glasses more clearer or crisp, i feel one eye is more blurry in some games? Tried css and that works in 3D or gives much better depth but impossible to aim!

My only gripe and its small is having to keep changing the mode on the monitor to side by side as once finished watching a 3D vid you cannot navigate around your desktop until you change back as everything overlaps.

+1

i think its silly you cant change the modes more conveniently (or perhaps the monitor detects it and changed automatically to the required mode :D )

What I do is double tap the power button ( I do this from underneath the monitor as I find it more responsive) to turn off the screen and to turn it back on again. Nice and quick

Brilliant in 3D, guts flying everywhere!:D

Although Bulletstorm is the best title I've used for 3D effects.

You can view some Tridef 3D shots of it in here:

Anyone else want to start uploading 3D screenshots, it's easy and would give us an indication of effects!

Turn on the laser pointer if your having aiming troubles in 3D shooters, Numberpad 0 opens the Tridef CP in game.

Heard bulletstorm is good but dont have the game :( Thanks for the pointer on FPS tommybhoy, the cross hair seems out of line for me. Will def try that laser pointer. Is that the best to use on FPS?

Ok cancel this, i managed to get skyrim working. I had to disable all types of AA in the games launcher and it started right up!!

Is that laser pointer available for all FPS games?

can someone post their 3D settings for skyrim? You know when you press numlock and 0 you get the ingame tridef menu,

What's a good setting for % in front and depth?

I have one of these now.
Do you have to match the setting of Tridef with the setting in the OSD 3D setting?
How do I do frame sequential for games? I feel like I'm losing half of my resolution using side by side for games.

Might have been better off getting that passive like I planned =/.
