iRacing

Lyon you sound about my pace think i have you on Steam hit me up when you have 5 and we can do some laps.

Will do pal, cheers.

Just gave 17 wing some more love, it's unquestionably faster. Every lap that I managed to keep it out of the wall was sub 1:06, but I was in the wall A LOT. Not sure if I'll have enough time to practice on it before the track changes, I really love Watkins too :(

I did have a subscription to iRacing but found the skip barber too much of a handful to drive cleanly and ended my subscription after 3 months. If I was to resubscibe, is their an alternative path I could take licence wise in road racing, but 'skip' the skip?

yeah there is mate.

you at D class then yeah?, so just get to 4.0 in any road car series mx5 for instance, then once you hit 4.0 just get the C class car you want to drive like the radical(wink wink) do 4 TT's in it and boom you will be C class...

In the skippy with a driver you trust you can basically do every corner, the radical is gonna be that bit harder though so probably not worth the risk :p

I still think there's 2 options though, into and out of the first corner, not many people expect getting the run on the exit but the options there, and can even do either side through the left hander if you're confident/quick enough...

yeah sounds like that would work, tbh ive only raced round there twice and that was in the mx5 so not even sure on the racing line yet..

im thinking defo 26 rear wing tho...

oh yeah i remember that big jump/hump thing after the right hander with the wall pretty close on the left, it really upsets the car dosent it???

depends on the car but yeah, high downforce stuff like the HPD is fine over it, the skippy is sketchy, it's not that bad though once you've done a few laps and know how much to lift (and if you need to at all)

I had to buy the radial reading this and omg it's great got down to a 1:07:5 so far :)

Were you Chris Baker? If so, I was just racing with you, and causing a certain amount of chaos :) - Ian Baker. I'm mid 1.06 at the moment, but all over the place in terms of consistency - it's no MX5!

yup thats me :) i just caused chaos in Graveyards race and dropped him from 2nd to 10th ! oops *hiding*

what a lovely introduction on track  sorry again m8

well that was abit better eh chris...

im never running 12,1g of fuel again, i had to back off and short shift after 20 laps as id used too much fuel and was worried id run out...

horrible race..

still won tho lol...
