Yes, That's right. I'm a heathen right? Technically inenpt?

Personally I don't think so. Firefox and Chrome, although they take up less space with regards to a memory footprint.

They feel incredibly clunky to me. shockwave\flash plugins arent anywhere near as seemless as they are with internet explorer.

If you're browsing from webpage to webpage, basic sites like forums, etc. Chrome is definitely the quick choice.

But you go to pages with a bit more substance to them, flash or java. I feel the way internet explorer handles the experience to be much better.

Having a browser with a Small footprint and being quick throw up the page, is only half a story.

So what's peoples opinions? yes this could have been posted in software, but not many go in there, I'm wanting the opinion of the average Joe General aswell as the tech savvy.

I tried Firefox a few years ago and it was like Chrome is now. Lightweight and fast but over the years it has become as bad as IE was. I use ie 9 now and haven't had any problems. Never tried chrome yet though but I watch a lot of Sky Go on my PC and it doesn't work well in Chrome.

How do you mean Flash is more seamless in IE? In Chrome and FF (x86 and x64) Flash pages load, content plays....it just works as expected without delay?

Maybe you have a slow PC!

I tend to use ie9 though have most browsers installed. Does what I need it to and not really noticed any problems.

I've used IE since I got my first computer, never had a problem with it. Downloaded firefox the other day because some pathetic site didn't support IE.. and it crashed immediately. GG firefox.

You've now got a poll to see what people use and it's multiple choice as I know a few people will use more than one regularly.

I tend to use Internet Explorer as I'm used to it and it works pretty well the vast majority of the time. I'll occasionally use Firefox but because I'm not used to it it seems to do a few things in a slightly odd way.

I used FF for a while, then when Chrome appeared, it was much quicker and more stable. I am now back on IE, since it seems to me that just recently Chrome has become a bit crashy and the .exe doesn't always close when the window does, leaving many instances (sometimes up to 10) eating my memory.

Pah, I hate browser wars.

As a web developer I tend to use all 3 major browers for both work and general browsing (IE9, FF12, Chrome) I still find IE crashes and hangs a lot more than the other 2, although the cause is usually flash/shockwave. IE is alright but it still has annoying CSS quirks and feels very locked down.
Firefox is my browser of choice because of the huge library of addons (Ad-block+ and firebug)
