I have got to stop reading your posts guys lol, its bloody killing me not been able to race, sometime last year i got the year subscription half price and ive barely touched it since, due to my G25's motors dieing and the plastic case that holds the steering shafts bearings (inside the outer case) has cracked allowing lateral movement, plus the pedals were acting funny, i really need to get myself a second hand g25 to butcher and get mine all working again or bite the bullet and get a Fanatec wheel of some description. And on that note which Fanatec wheel is decent, i see they have brought out a fair few different versions since i last checked, like the CSR etc.

i never really asked for assistance just posting my progress but i apreciate the advice.

i know what to do its just getting the car to do it :D

like flooring the last turn in 5th gear i just end up going wide on the edit and into the wall :D

with probably 4 hours of practice in all and never really using a wheel to play racing games i guess im not doing to bad.

slowly getting there :) beeing able to press tab and see exactly how much faster different lines and speeds through corners effect the laptime is pretty awesome and a massive help

grr was doing alright and feeling good so thought i would do another race and some tard rammed me off at the 3rd corner....

properly belted me off the track and ruined my car.......
probably this guy who only did 5 laps..
he gains rating for that? lol wtf......

i did a lap under 1:02 though :D

Just did ab MX5 race myself at LRP, started 10th out of 11 and made it to 3rd with ZERO incidents. My first clean race of the year. :)

Typical first corner mess, I just hung back, funnily enough the guy in 11th didn't take me he did the same, we both passed through the mess and the poor chap got cleared up with a car coming back on the circuit which I avoided. Funny - when it's someone else! :D
 
I had a much better Radical race this time round. We had two splits of 18 each and I was in the bottom split (as slow drivers should be). I was on track to finish a lap down on the leaders when I lost concentration and lost control on lap 36. I had to pit for repairs and only managed one more lap before the end. It felt a much better race and finished in 7th, which was not influenced by the pitting. I just realised I am not used to the 45min race and that caught me towards the end.

i use a frex shift + sequential shifter...

gutted i missed the 4.30 radical race had 2 splits and top split had over 3000 sof, winner got 195 champ points and 3rd place who is in my division got 172 damn it...

If you still want to run the Mazda (cup car) why don't you do the Grand Touring Cup (D series)? The racing generally is much cleaner than the Mazda cup so should be good for SR. Also you will get to do a few more courses just to keep the interest going.

just took 2nd in the top split 6.30 race.

was lucky twice some body hit the pit wall and flipped his car leaving me no were to go but the net code let me drive through it but gave me a 4x??, then about 4 cars tangled on exit of t1 so i just picked a line and days of thundered it through...

good weekend racing for me, not sure it will be the same at LRP...
 
not keen how unfogiving "off track" is as sometimes it feels like you get punised for 4 wheels on a kerb or slightly touching the grass.

in qualifying its just annoying as in real life you wouldnt get punished for it

fairly consistent towards the end atleast apart from lap 16 where i was on for my fastest ever lap but pushed to hard on the final corner :(

i was braking at the 2-3 marker at the first corner though which was probably costing me 3-5 tenths but im not confident at braking into turn 1 yet

anytime im doing well some idiot will be driving on the racing line with a damage wheel and decides not to give me any space

Me to mate. I was on the 9pm @ Lime Rock and was in 4th until the 2nd or 3rd lap (started 6th) and some joker rear ended me.
 
some people seem to just do a clean lap and sit in the pits and get + rating..

i can drive well some tard ruins my race and i get penalised its a joke
 
stick with it lads, i know its frustrating now but it will be worth it in the end..

just give the muppets loads of room, sit behind them if you have to....

i was just the same a few months ago when i started...

work on speeding up in test/practice sessions so you don't get lumped in the lower splits with all the wrecking cru.
