So I found two packets of jelly in the cupboard.

This one expired October 2011

This one has no expiry date

I was wondering if I will survive eating this jelly?

You won't even fall ill, it'll be totally safe.
It's a block of sugar and will last more or less indefnatly.

it is basicaly gelatine, the collagen inside animals' skin and bones. plus flavouring of course, and some sugar.

and yes you could die if its out of date/rancid

mad cow disease being one option for you

ohh and the cheapo ones are the worst, machine pressed collagen retreival yuck, the afterthoughts of SPAM basicly

Yea, I dunno how some of the stuff on grocery store shelves even pass for food. Even those yummy looking pop-tarts have beef gelatin in them.
