Just out of curiosity, how much do you have left to pay on your credit card?

I have started to use a credit card for the first time recently (23! :o) as i have always just gone into my overdraft...not exactly a good idea.

At the moment mine is at £200 and i have 16 months left of interest free. :)

Which Card???... :(

1, £2,400 @ 0% for 16months,
2, £3,250 @ 0% for 12months,
3, Nowt as this is where the balance's on 1 & 2 came from! :(

£0 on all 3 of my credit cards and i only use them in extreme emergencies and when i do, i make sure they are paid fully at the end of the mth.

Eeeek...but is it under control and being paid off slowly?

I hadn't checked my bank balance in months and months. I finally got the courage to spend an hour at the bank and go through everything and work out my best options...feel a bit happier now but i haven't been out of my overdraft in at least a year. :(

£230 about.

I don't like putting my debit card details on-line, so use it for ordering & such & clear it @ £100 a month, but I'm not a big fan of credit cards - they keep trying to get me to bump up my credit limit to £10,000+ (it seems to annoy them when I manually set it to £500).

As a side question,

What percent of your monthly income is used to pay interest (for loans/CC & mortgage)?

Been reading up an idea proposed by a number of economists for a global debt wipe (personal, government & business) - as a last ditch effort to save the global economy & to ensure our children are not saddled with our debt & our parents debt.

It would be interesting to see how much personal spending could increase if debt was wiped (in regards to increasing demand from increased spending).

I'm hammering mine right now for the Avios points, currently just under 100k Avios points in a little over 2 months. Hoping to hit 120k for a return first class flight to New York.

About £15 so far this month. Buy stuff on it every month and then pay it off well in advance when payday arrives. Keeping my credit rolling, which is why I take advantage of Overclockers buy now pay later option, stick money away each month and pay off well in advance.
