How do they calculate this?

i have never had one, and i often get letters saying i can have 6,8k+

??? are they just seeing if i bite? which would never happen anyway, just curious

Nice will look into it :)

I'm going to be using it for general day to day stuff, what's your thoughts on this?

If I made this into my own thread would I get slated lol? :p

And is setting it up so it pays off everyone month as easy as setting up a Direct Debit/Standing order with my bank?

Yea day to day stuff, or use it like a fuel card and only buy petrol with it then clear it at the end of the month. Anything like that, as long as you do clear it every month it will build your credit rating up. Setting up a direct debit is easy. You just ask them to take the full amount each month & sign the direct debit mandate.

£450 (all car related) and interest free for another year.

Trouble is another 500 will be going on it on Saturday. Car's do like to hit your wallet nice and hard (and unexpectedly). :(

I don't like having a credit card though, but they do seem to be a necessary evil.

Just cleared ours, which feels really nice. Was hovering between 1k and 2k for a while, but the wife (freelancer) just got paid for a big job and we decided to just pay it all off.

£700 I think, a couple of hotels for next month and 2 tyres on it at the moment. The direct debit clears it in full each month and I've only just had my billing date for it.

£0, it's still in the post :D

Managed to get a 0% for 15 months.
Not bad considering I'm only 20, a student and this is my first card. Only other credit Iv had is car insurance :)
