Some conflicting information in here, how can you apply a new key to your account when one of the responses is stating you will HAVE to use a new email address? :S

Going to go change my review of CJS to a shockingly awful service that has messed up my GW1 to GW2 linking. Not put me in a good mood this morning. >_<
 
Congrats mate, I woke up to this:

Wow, that's a hell of a reply from a company that knows they have problems.

I wonder how many copies they'll get away with it on. People that don't spend much time on the internet and just want to play the game that won't realise until it's too late that they've been scammed.

I hope ANet manages to sort out those affected, including removing keys from accounts.

The email from NC did state the key was disabled prior to the email from CJ's
Not looking to far into it I've got my refund I'll leave it there lol.
I did query the price drop immediatley after I had ordered and still have £1 credit on my CJs account :p Wether or not I use them again remains to be seen.
 
Was a saving of about £15 at the time and as I said above I know of multiple people who have used CJ's witout hitch before.

Game@35 or Tesco @33 will be my next attempt at purchasing the game lol.
Will wait til I get back home and check the prices instore@Game as I have a bit credit there too

Not really, your email address will be in use with the CJS registered key now. It looks that you'll need to use a new one to register a new key, which is absolute bull****.

I don't see how they can not unlink accounts at the moment but will be able to before release. I doubt it would actually be that hard, just removing a key form your account so you can register a new one.
 
Yeah but have you seen the state of the account management pages?

Laughable to say the least, surely the billing and account/game links need to be up and running before the code is added to the game? Personally I would see this as a fairly early section to get right and at the moment theres so many holes and restrictions on the account side of things. I remember GW1 where I coudl just login and check what was activated on my account.
 
Billing for what? There is no monthly fee, only way you'll be spending money is via the Cash Shop which you enter details in via the game.

It is quite bad at the moment, but overall no release on game yet so they have plenty of time to fix it.

Still quite annoyed that they can not remove my key, meaning i have to wait until release most likely to get it fixed.

Its not conflicting, just different replikes from different support people.

Summary:

- Having linked a CJS key to your GW1 account will give you full beta access up until release date

- Currently accounts cannot be unlinked, and new legit keys can only be used on new accounts.

- Closer to release, they will be able to unlink your fraudulent key from your main account, allowing you to link it to a new key.

Do not create a new account yet with your new legit key if you want to link it acter your current account is delinked.

I'm ****ed that they havnt replied to me at all though.

What code?

The account management and all the other support will be a totally separate entity of the company and will be mostly Nc soft.

It looks like they don't have the system in place to crrect the problems dodgy keys have created. Sure it will all be fixed when the game is actually ready though.

Beta is beta after all.
 
So, whats the next best place? I know game has it for £35, but it doesnt state if its pre-purchase or pre-order. I may just have to use play.com at this rate.

I only mentioned them as they Amazon, Play and Zavvi are all listed on their site as official places to buy as is GMG which was put on twitter a week or so back.

I won't buy the game now until they can remove the key from my account so i can put a new one on. It doesn't matter if i buy it now or then i can't register it until it can be put on my account.

Well some of us dont have the luxury of not worrying about money... i have some serious out goings each month so any where i can save I will!

haha man so do i, i just didnt want to risk wasting my time with a company i had personally never heard of thats all.
