always in the last box you look in.

got my heli build and ive been playing phoenix for a few hours , hovering on that is stupidly easy and i can do tail in hovering etc fairly easilt now onto forwards flight...

when sport flying is it wrong to control the heli pretty much like you would a plane while keeping the tail the direction you want to travel?

No. Forward flight is pretty much the same as flying a plane, except the tail won't follow on it's own like a plane's does. That is, unless you're running a rate gyro, but heading hold is the norm these days.

cool , just wanted to make sure my fingers werent learning any bad habits :)

i must say its all pretty easy in the sim even with a bit of wind, but i guess the helis are considered to be set up perfectly , i imagine ill have to practice bunny hops on mine to try and sort out any "quirks"

ill stick to the sim for no though :D

what gyros you guys using/ spartan quarks on on half price nearly everywhere for some promotion.

i suspect they are struggling to sell normal gyros these days though as nearly everyone is converting there helis to flybarless and they come with there own gyros and dont need a regular tail gyro

Got a quark. Well, I had one. I just gave it to my father for his Trex 500, as the GP780 was garbage, and I just converted my Trex 500 to flybarless, so no longer need it. If you are still flying fly bar, then the quark is without doubt one of the best gyros out. The Futaba GY520 is the other top gyro in my opinion.

The only fly barred heli I have now is my 450 beater. My mCP X, Trex 250, 450 Sport, 500 and Outrage Fusion 50 are all flybarless.

Nice heli!
I am scared of those things after seeing some horrible pictures :(.
Are you scared of spoons? They do as much damage as one of them :D
In all seriousness, they're perfectly safe unless you're a complete numpty. Keep your face and fingers away, disconnect the motor when working on it, and everything will be fine... You need one ;)

Spartan on the 250, Align on the 450 (just ordered another Spartan to replace the Align gyro).

It's just marketing by Spartan to sell gyro's. They're clearly the best out there.

Hobbyking looks like the best value. I went to my local Maplins who wanted ~£1.50 per meter.

How long a piece do you need? I might have some stuff lying around

I was looking for around 5 Meters, so maybe the hobbyking shipping wouldn't be worth it after all!
