im really bad on thus okayama course :(

i think the brake peddle on the dfgt is letting me down as im scared to late brake, the pedal is so sensitive even the slightest movement is about half braking so its easy to get the juddering when u hit the brake to hard :( (its a pitty the brake pedal doesnt have much feel because the throttle pedal is really nice and its easy to get as much throttle as your trying to)
ill have to try and do the spring mod to it so its harder to press or something.
for okayama in mx5 :(
15 01:05.352
16 01:05.336
17 01:04.837
18 01:04.343 fastest lap
19 01:05.634
20 01:05.332
21 01:05.251
22 01:04.379
(my optimal from fastest sectors is something like 1:03.279 but i cant get anywhere near that over a full lap)
looking on youtube the fastest drivers are braking slightly in the corners to rotate the car but i cant because if i accidently press the pedal 1mm to much ill brake to hard and just spin.

i guess theres a reason load cell brake pedals are so popular.....

I say it all the time, DFGT pedals are awful and it makes a great budget wheel an awful budget wheel, no one listens! :D

Try getting a sponge and stuff it behind the brake, it does help support your foot a little.

I actually prefer Okayama to LRP but I'm quicker around LRP, not sure why. My fastest Okayama is 1:01.3 in race. Average lap time around 1:02 dead.

If you want to post up a replay I can help, just ask!

PS: I LOVE my Clubsport pedals!

I reckon that's why the guy that finished below me got more SR, he was rookie and I'm in D class.

Plus he almost definitely hit the boundary with a 0.66 rise, so technically just 0.26 + the 0.40 bonus

PS: I LOVE my Clubsport pedals!

On that note how are the other new clubsport owners coming along, Steve you seem to be getting used to them more now?

I would except I'm not a massive fan of the MX5 and I hate Infineon with a passion even greater than that for Laguna Seca :p

i love my clubsports now and i really couldnt race without them!

when i jump on the brakes i know im fully braking on the limit everytime with my g25 pedals it was always a bit of guess work

fabulous pedals imo expensive but worth it

I won't be racing the mx5 and I e never turned a lap at infineon so I'm out..

Yeah josh getting the with them now, I find I have to knock the brake bias back abit so I'm not locking up but other than that the alright, still we haven't had no proper corners we need to be hard on the brakes, so next week will be a good test going into moss corner...

Damn, I fancy getting back into this. I gave up when I eventually got the Skippy but couldn't get to grips with it. Had some AMAZING races in the beginner type cars though, really fun and some very frustrating times as well.

My wheel is at my Mum's. It's an old Logitech Momo like this, would I find it easier if I had a better wheel, like a G27 or something?

This is the one I have:

EDIT: Scrap that, didn't realise how expensive decent wheels are.

Would a second hand G25 be a good step up? I fancy taking advantage of the 3 months for the price of 1 renewal.

Yeah nice wheel (excellent FFB just not very weighted), solid pedals (miles better than the cheaper DFGT) and you get a stick shifter (it's a bit floppy but ok).

Cheaper and newer are Logitech DFGT and Thrustmaster F430, both for around £70 if you look. Personally I'd go for the F430 in the sub £100 range.

Arknor one thing to check, when you load iracing go to options where its got teh little wheel, brake clutch and gear shifter wizard fully press your brake then let it out very slow like you did in the first time calibration wizard. Same for throttle and same for the wheel turn it all the way left and right.

One thing that was happening to me when I first started playing was the application loosing my brake pedal and clutch range, id go into T1 press the pedal 1mm and it would lock the brakes.
Had me stumped till I read something on the forums. Does anyone else get this ? I'm using a G25 and it happens every time I reload the application.

Hit me up on steam also and ill do some practice laps with you if you want I can hit low 1:02 to high 1.01's Ill help you find a good line.

i fixed it :D

was testing my pedals in windows with joy.cpl and the full brake range was already 100% brakes when the pedal was only half pressed.....

i think it must have been assembled wrong at the factory...

i opened the pedals and made sure the pedometer was correctly alligned with the teeth on the end of brake and now i can properly feel the brake range

id rather a fanatec wheel, im fed up of the notchy feeling ffb on my g27...

I used to be a big Logitech fan until I started testing other kit.

I'd say Logitech stuff is overrated (I'm not saying it's bad), the G25 was good when it came out but it's showing it's age and has many faults carried over to the G27.

My Fanatec is streets ahead but you do have to pay a premium.
