In a bit of Italian news, Alessandro Del Piero has left Juventus 
One of my favourite players (I'll try and do a hall of fame for him when he's retired, although I like to think he, like other favourite players will go on forever) and he had a very emotional farewell, being subsituted around the 60 minute mark after being congratulated by every team matee on his way off the field.
He then was 'forced' to do a lap of honour for the crowd, so they could say their farewells.

Each thing he did was only worth a red, in isolation. I don't think a ten match ban is unsuitable, tbh
You get a longer ban for each red normally though, first red for violent conduct would be 3 match ban, 2nd red would be a 4 match ban which is what he already automatically has, two more reds would effectively be 5 and 6 match bans each, so 15 match total.
Excessive, maybe, fair, maybe, he's such a complete ***** that I think he both deserves it, and may actually finally stop doing bad stuff(if he's allowed to continue being a footballer) due to the severe punishment.
Personally I think all the stuff he's done to date he's never had any level of punishment appropriate for what he's done. NEwcastle did very badly to "stick" by him while in jail, and they saw how they were treated for sticking by him, him trying to stick the boot in when he left, which went spectacularly badly for him, predicted Newcastles downfall didn't he
I'd happily see him banned from being a footballer in this country.
That would one epic fight, Keane would knock that little **** out and as much as i loathe Keane...id be rooting for him
As for Defoe?? just lolworthy at him cheating on Burke with that thing
One thing i have to agree with Cheets, first time for everything is that footballers are a brain dead bunch...not all of them but some of them are ie Terry, Cole and now Defoe.
