"The Labour backbencher Keith Vaz, chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee and a longstanding critic of the video games industry, led calls for new powers to ban material rather than only apply age classification.

An Early Day Motion sponsored by Mr Vaz called on the Government to "provide for closer scrutiny of aggressive first-person shooter video games”.

Games about war are gonna be violent.

It's OK for MPs to wage real wars but not to play Counter-Strike. :confused:

Meh, nothing will happen. An anti-gaming story pops up every now and again, nothing ever happens because there's no evidence of a link between video games and whatever they're being blamed for.
 
It shows how these idiot MPs who're so against games have actually never touched one in any way if they believe this ****. Especially if he means the reason CoDs because they are just spray fests and I'm pretty sure he wasn't spraying.
 
although to be slightly pedantic, i wouldn't care less if they banned Call of Duty, it's a trash game made by idiots with no imagination :D

If he was playing WoW full time, what did that teach him about firearms? And if he was hardcore about WoW how did he have time to perfect his CoD training?

in short: the guy is a joke. And it's worrying that he has any amount of power in politics at all.
 
He's a psychopath, why they even give him the time of day is beyond me.

Some people are just born evil, but I guess it's easier for them to understand if they can blame media.
