iRacing

messed my self up man..

raced with 17 wing 2 spins on 2nd to last corner 1 lap after another, then got stuck behind harvard and he just took a totally different line round moss and i clipped him and my car was wrecked..

why do i always do it to myself...

now im in a rock and hard place situation, 17 wing just wants to kill me and im slow with 26....what to do???

congrats mate, i was pushing too hard to get back up to you but harvard was driving sketchy and i lost loads of time...

Have you tried the Paul Thurston set, it's much better on the front end than Roberts, you still need to use the brake to get it turned in and just generally use to the understeer but it's capable it seems of at least a 13.4 with no tow...
 
tried them all mate, i prefer mine to them all if im honest but thats cos it suits me, ill give pauls another go in a min...

what were you first few hot lap times josh with race fuel???

how much fuel you have left???
 
I joined that race as a ghost driver just to run with some real racers :D when i noticed You Josh , but at that point Gravey had DC , man i am having such a hard time even staying on tack as i am have to learn 3 things at once.
1. new car
2. new track
3. learn to drive with paddals as have the G27 with no seq shifter ................
 
d'oh, forgot to check fuel, 13 was enough though :p

I find with the 26's, well specifically with Pauls that you really do need to dab to brakes constantly to get the front to bite, but it does and even later on starts sliding a bit on it's own which I like :)

I did 1:13.8 on the second lap but that was in your tow, after that it took me a few laps to sort myself out but on the 10th lap I did a 14.0, then a couple of laps later a couple of 13.9's then it was fluctuating around there for the rest of the race, reckon with a bit more practice it can be more consistently in the high 13's...

I only did 3 laps in race trim between Q and the race, set a 13.9 with no draft on the 2nd lap
 
Skill do you mind me asking you how much fuel you had left mate ? In the exciment of finishing the race without wrecking myself or anyone else, 0 incs and taking 4th i forgot how much fuel i had left. Worried me when you and the other guy caught me i did a little praying that i hit neither of you or lost it at moss leaving U pair no where to go but into me.

I was having flashback form practice tuesday night lol. Thank god it was the last lap. As my right rear was 30 degrees hotter than the others.

Edit U must have posted that as i was asking i ran 13 to didnt get the 5 lap warning.

Dont worry i had same problem start of the week. I started off running 1:19s Ive took 5 seconds off that. with lots of help from gravey and his Buddy Peter.

Run a practice season with us the faster guys will help. Im slow in the rad and new also those two above have forgotten more about the rad than i no.

Maybe they can offer some advice, first we need to see you lap.
 
Is their fault i am in the Rad :eek:

All this chat on here just made me wanna see what the crack is all about , must say i am enjoying it so far ,, very fast action , ( mind u that is if i can stay on track.

forgot to add no.4 as well to the above..

4. learning to left foot brake , as the rad is clutch less :p
 
BTW can you guys that are in the rad on 3 montiors take a SS of what your view looks like while driving.. as not sure mine looks ok,, hard to see sometimes,, need bigger glasses me recons :D

think im gunna move series or just have a break from iracing..

dunno why i put the effort in all week to not even finish races...

A break is always good even for just a day or two, although from what I saw of the last two races it didn't seem like it was too bad, first was seemingly a mistake picking a 17 wing set and the second was just a racing accident?

I'm much calmer than I was at the time, leading fairly comfortably pushing just hard enough to eek out a bit more time, came up to him into T2, took it nice and easy, on the exit he drifted towards the left, I powered out to go down the right on the inside for T3 and at the last minute he braked and drifted back to the right, nothing I could do. More annoying that the damage wasn't too bad, would've lost the places to you and Chris but probably could've held on to 3rd and possibly even still won, but stupid meatball flag :@
 
nah wasnt too bad just the point put all the effort in to not finish races, i would have finished 3nd in the first race if harvard could stick to 1 racing line and not pick a new 1 each time.

2nd just got rear ended at moss when i was in the lead after you had your in incident , im slow with the 26 wing...
 
I give up with this already before I have even started. The quality of racers on this is like playing Forza 4 on 360.... people making moves from miles behind and ruining races. I can't believe that people pay for this and play it like it's ridge racer.

i take it rookie class in mx5 ?

if so just race from pits,, dont even race hard , just stay on track ,, get SR built up fast = get out of rookie class , where the drivers become more SR aware
 
yer was on ghost mode that last race gravey , and seen the 3 car bumper fiasco that you were involved in ^^

aye mate, probs my fault but i dont care now.

got a proper bad start to let him through and stayed behind waiting for a gap as i knew i was quicker, the he made a little mistake in t3 and i was right on him and he just pressed the brake too early or earlier going into moss and i just rammed him...first thing i said was im not even sorry lol...
 
cannot beleave i had a 14 minute pit stop and still got to finish a lowly 12th. Did so much better in the next race after tweaking my setup up to find something that felt good. got upto 5th(or 6th) and then binned it at moss when sorting a backmaker....of the fun of the Radical never stops. Seen you bumps Mr Peace - very unlucky :(
